    Re: NCAA 12 Varsity Sliders

    Feedback:

I have played about 10 games and have seen a lot of variety in yardage. I am not great with the sticks so that is why I enjoy this level.

    Penalties-

    Positives
    Roughing the passer
    Clipping
    Holding

    Negatives
    No facemasks
    No off/def pass interference

    Offense-
    Positives
    Running game works well
I have not tried the option my self but I have seen it run against me very well.
I have seen dropped balls with the aid of impact.
Will get pressured in the pocket.

    Negatives
Both Human and CPU completion percentage is to high for my liking

    Defense-
    Positives
    Interceptions look decent
Not a lot of leaping LB's

    Special Teams-
I increased FG power so a mediocre place kicker could hit a 30-35 yard FG.

      interesting that nothing changed....

i would suggest pass coverage increased to about 55-60 (lower Human catch to 50) what this will do is give both sides a slight boost up in zone coverage recognition and take away the amount of seperation on the deep balls WR's seem to get in NCAA 12.

I'm going into hibernation this year on sliders to work exclusively on personal rosters for coach mode play....i fell in love with the brodcast camera and decided that is how i will play this year

will offer suggestions but no testing by me as i need a year break from sliders in football and basketball games.

Stick to the NO switch rule on defense and you should see this level really shine

        Re: NCAA 12 Varsity Sliders

Hey man, i just joined the forum so i could help you out with these. I'm not great on the sticks and usually go with playmakers sliders, but it seems we have to take matters into our own hands with him not making any this year. I'll give these a try later tonight, the only thing that im not sure about is 75 for human catching, seems high imo. I'm gonna use 50 for that but everything else is yours.

Also, for penalty sliders I may raise facemask to 55 and I could use slow speed but I'm on the fence still about that.

Gonna go test here in a bit after the all-star game, hopefully we can put together a solid set!

I forgot to edit some of the changes I tweaked when I copied the settings over. DOH!

Any help will be greatly appreciated. The OS Community will be hurting this season with out a set of sliders from you.

This is my preferred playing style so I will test as much as I can and will be watching the progress!
I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I don’t think you realize that what you heard was not entirely what I meant.

I assume human is first and cpu is second (human/cpu)--right?

              Thanks for these.

                Louisville(me) vs Indiana

                UL 14 10 0 7 31
                IU 7 10 0 0 17

                Stats: Louisville Indiana
                First downs 14 16
                Total Offense 346 270
                Rushes-Yards-TD 38-237-2 31-88-1
                Comp-Att-Td 10-19-1 19-37-1
                Passing Yards 109 182
                Turnovers 0 3(1 fum, 2 int)
                Sacks 3 1

Vic Anderson went off for 190 yards on 22 carries with a couple of TD's and Daniel Brown recovered a fumble for a touchdown.

Human rushing was pretty easy for me, as was holding down the CPU running game. Lowering the human run blocking and raising the CPU run blocking may be in order. Both offenses pretty much did what they wanted in the first half, IU could have scored a lot more had it not been for the turnovers and 6 drops. Cpu pass rush may also need a very slight boost. Pretty fun game all in all.

Try this based on your stats

                    CPU WR Catch-75
                    CPU Run Block-50

                    Human RBA-45
                    Human Run Block-50
Human Run Defense-0....Don't worry they will still react but all of your LB's won't be like Ray Lewis at shedding blocks and reading the plays perfect. I found out late last year this is the most overated slider on the defense it really hurts CPU option teams aswell
                    Human Tackle-25

The reason i would lower Human RBA is because pursuit has been tweaked by EA I can tell simply by the way Kickoffs and punt returns play out now

Messing with the OL screws up their Blocking logic and from the looks of things the Awareness of the OL isn't that great as it is so default 50 will balance out the lower RBA slider besides the RB's are controlled by you totally different from the OL

Kinda shocked at the sack #'s being so low for the CPU but it could be Indiana's defense....which has to be accounted for in that game

fellow by the name of DerekontheOS would be a good help for you....he did a great job last year helping me to get a nice base set intact before releasing them to the community

                    Good Luck!

Well Playmaker since you not doing sliders, that means your Alumni Rosters can be made faster, LOL. Broadcast cam and coach mode screams Alumni roster.

Thanks for the help Playmakers! I've been using your sliders since Ncaa 10 and Nba 2k10. I'll give your tweaks some work tomorrow. Btw i know your a 360 guy, but if you ever move to ps3 I would be all over your rosters.

I believe they are B- defense in the game, as was my offense. IU honestly should have a C- or D+ defensive rating. Seems like EA just gives all BCS schools solid ratings no matter who the team is...

I'll be trying these after work today. I'm in the tough situation where Varsity is too easy and All American results in low QB completion percentage and a lot of interceptions. Hoping to find something right in the middle.

Won on a last second field goal! Pretty solid game besides the cpu rushing, once again they struggled on the ground. Michigan did burn me on a 60 yard pass play though. Robinson had a couple solid scrambles, including one for a TD. My star Wr had 150 yards and a couple of long touchdowns. Michigan mostly scored because of the big play and good field position, they had issues keeping drives going.

Gonna go try OK State vs a cupcake and then I'll flip flop and use a cupcake against a powerhouse.
