UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III - October 8, 2011

Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Mayard - Lightweight Championship
Jose Aldo vs. Kenny Florian - Featherweight Championship
    Brian Stann vs. Chael Sonnen
    Joe Lauzon vs. Melvin Guillard
    Demian Maia vs. Jorge Santiago
    Josh Grispi vs. Matt Grice
    Dave Herman vs. Mike Russow
    Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens

Pretty solid lineup so far. Joe Lauzon always comes out like a buzzsaw in the first round. Hopefully Melvin stays off the ground with him and adds another KO to his resume. I thought he should be fighting someone ranked higher than Lauzon, but I guess he really wanted to fight on this Houston card.

Sorry Kenny, I gotta roll with Aldo.

Anthony Pettis vs. Jeremy Stephens added to the card. Houston is getting a ridiculous show.

              You gotta be ****ting me.

In my personal view, UFC 136 followed by 137 has to be close to the greatest consecutive cards in MMA history.

And we don't even know who they'll throw on 138 for the dos santos v. Cain bout.. which already has Koscheck rumored to make his return.

              Oh my god.

Pretty much. It depends on if injuries happen or not. Hopefully they don't, both of these cards are so stacked its not funny.

IDK how anyone can say that unless they just didn't like the two fighters as people.

The last time they fought, they put on one of the best matches in recent MMA history. And it's not like they're scrubs either.

Frankie is on with Ariel right now on MMMfighting, I really like him. He doesn't seem like the guy I thought he was.. which was a Jersey Shore type guy.

Seems like an articulate guy, has a degree and is now talking about his underground fight.. pretty interesting stuff.

Wow! Frankie walks around at 160. Jesus. Says it'd be interesting to attempt a dual champ at Featherweight.

Yeah, I've seen Frankie at a restaurant here in NJ in March and its clear he doesn't have to cut any weight. Definitely a small guy and could easily make 145.

Very humble guy also from the minute or so I got to talk to him.
