    CPU vs CPU sliders

i like to simulate (watch) a lot of my dynasty games (i like being the coach and making the adjustments more than actually playing). I was just wondering....does anyone know what the best sliders set up is for CPU v CPU games to produce the most realistic results? Id prefer settings to 10-15 min qtrs on either All-American or Heisman. thanks

I'm a CPU vs CPU guy too. However, I think 10-15 minutes are a bit long for me to sit and watch.

You should try a game at default varsity with 7 minute quarters. I really liked the way those played out.
James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."

      Re: CPU vs CPU sliders

oh trust me...i dont watch the whole game lol. Usually ill watch the first qtr...and flip it over to the TV and come back at halftime, look at the stats, make the adjustments, and let it go again.

I have tried the default on 7 min qtrs but i couldnt get realistic #s. The scores would be realistic...but the accumulated stats werent. Right now im running default sliders (for the most part...adjusted one or 2)...and am running my UNC dynasty game vs NC State (im 6-1, ranked 25th, state is 6-2 and unranked, and state is up 34-31 with a min to go in the 4th).

My QB has thrown for over 300 yards (but most of that in the 2nd half because i was down 28-9 at the half)..so thats kind of misleading. My running back had 18 carries for 64 yards and no TD's when i last looked. I had 4 turnovers to their 2 (i had 3 fumbles and 1 pick).

When the game wraps up, i will post the final stats, and maybe you guys can tell me how close to realistic they are?

i forgot to mention, that game was played on these specs:

          All-American
          8 min qtrs
          very slow (game speed)
and the player speed threshold was default (50).

i'm currently playing(well, watching) a game with default sliders.

            AA
            10 min quarters
            threshold at 40
            very slow

I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

              Re: CPU vs CPU sliders

Your games are tame compared to mine. Running on a set of sliders that are supposed to make gameplay more realistic (might have to try a base set), I've seen games with 900, 1500, and 1100 total yards of offense and scores of 59-38, 87-62, and 59-40. Only difference is my game is on slow with 40 threshold. Guess maybe it needs to be 50 after all.

10 minutes is going to be too long, probably; run the risk of getting up to the upper range of play numbers often. 8-9 minutes usually gets you into that 130-150 range consistently, but that's only good if the stats hold up and it depends on the offense teams run. 8 minutes is good enough for a no huddle team, but 9 is usually needed for a more traditional team.

i actually went and did default settings and 8 min qtrs and got very realistic numbers.

I tried all sliders down to zero, but the CPU running game suffered and there were not many turnovers in games. I moved up to default Varsity sliders and like those much better. 8 minute quarters.

I had an awesome game last night in my Memphis dynasty. A 33-32 loss against Louisville (I did custom conferences and put L'ville back in C-USA) that went down to the last play. The stats looked pretty good, too.
Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.

                    Re: CPU vs CPU sliders

what i cant seem to figure out...and ive tried about everything...i cant figure out how my teams seem to give up on avg 10-19 pts per game...but my pass defense seems to always be 100+ ranked nationally. Most teams ive gone against avg like 150-220 passing yards with 1 or 2 pass TD's. And my rush defense always seems to be top 10.

What is a realistic setting to get a realistic # of INT's per game? Very seldomly my QB and the Other teams QB throw more than 1 INT...most games its 0 INTs (for and against). And that is with the INT slider at 50. But if i raise the INT slider...it ends up being like 3 or 4 INTs and that was at 70. Would it be smart to decrease QB accuracy and WR catching to 40...INT's to 55 or 60 and run slightly longer qtrs?

                      Try Manning18's they're the best CPU/CPU sliders I've used.

One thing I noticed is if you use custom playbooks for your Cpu vs. Cpu game you can trim out the plays that you don't like/don't see production from.

I was getting no real vertical and underneath passing from my team so I cleared out all the HB/PA screens from my book and when they weren't running the ball inside/outside or in the option they started pulling nice 10-20 yard tosses.

Hope that helps in getting numbers that "feel" right. Next ill mess around with my defensive schemes to get rid of some zones to increase the amount of man cover/blitz frequency in my DC's calls.

So, do the different levels matter if you want to try coach mode? I'm thinking of giving it a try and don't know what affect sliders would have (other than penalties) in that mode. 9 min qtrs with slow speed threshold the way to go this year?

And custom playbooks will require me to start the game with the controller under my team then move to the middle on the kickoff screen right?
