Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
And as someone said, in late July 2013, how long would they have had to work on it? The same year they have now. It would help in year one, and if they took advantage of that extra time to do a lot of cleaning, maybe we're good. But it would probably be spent adding some random feature that may not be correctly implemented.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
"No morphing" on the back of a box doesnt really sell video games but I digress. Also I dont know if they would have found this bug if they hired 500 new beta testers. Shoot, there are tens of thousands of people who visit this forum and this bug wasnt found until yesterday and the game has been out for almost than two weeks.Don't get me wrong. I love Dynasty, RTG, etc. but I don't see why EA should work on all these new, fancy features until they actually get solid gameplay (No morphing, sliding into position, "ice-skating running animations", etc.). THEN you can focus on making the game pretty & attractive. Also, I don't care how much testing they have to do; FIX THE DAMN BUGS/GLITCHES.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
I understand where you're coming from, I do. But, it's now three years for the online franchise....something could have been added, something. I feel I can compare it when it's NCAA's now 5 iteration on it. I imagine by the 7th, more new game systems will start to emerge. So unless they knock 13 and 14 out the park, this generation, again, will be more disappointment than anything else.Never said it wasnt a fair gripe but you cant have it both ways. Online Franchise in its self was a new feature a few years back and any addition to that is a new feature. You cant say "I want this and this added to OF" or "I want Dynamic Lighting" and then get mad if its not perfect out of the door. Those new features can sometimes cause glitches. You cant compare this gen to last gen because its different (and more complicated) hardware and software plus games with more features. Because of that these things tend to happen.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

I vote for pushing the game up two weeks, since we have to do the testing and all.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
I prefer they way it is now. I remember one year EA decided to push back the PC release of NBA live back a few months in order to fix some bugs. Most of those bugs were things I didnt care about and would have preferred the extra two months with game. Let me decide if a bug is a gamebreaker or not.Comment

Let me decide if a bug is a gamebreaker or not.So then quit calling out people when they say it is a game breaker. Like I said earlier, if you stop buying the game, then they quit making the game...I think its going a little overboard calling this HUGE or BIG, BIG. For me, HUGE is if it makes the game unplayable or the game is freezing. Its still an annoying issue no doubt.
Also, if this really happens every year then the blame starts to move over to the customer. What other product would you buy every year if you know that out of the box there would be issues and that you wouldnt be satisfied with the product until a month or two after you bought it? I know I cant think of one yet every year you guys rush in mass to buy the game Day 1.
Then you're out of any new NCAA Football game.Last edited by BaylorBearBryant; 07-21-2011, 03:56 PM.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
LOL, I'm not trying to say that they should advertise "No Morphing" or something like that. What I'm saying is that no morphing, sliding, ice-skating, etc. should just be the standard. EA sports is all about "it's in the game". Well, I don't see footballs going through players' stomachs & into their hands when I'm watching college football on a Saturday night. But that's just one example of problems in here. It's the engine that's wrong with the game. Anyways, I'm getting off-topic. Let's just hope this roster problem is fixed soon."No morphing" on the back of a box doesnt really sell video games but I digress. Re: Possible roster glitch
Well, I remember Playmakers and I having this conversation a couple years ago when he discovered how important the tendency label is. It is a bigger deal than most people think. The ratings decide how effective the player is once he has made the decision, but it is the tendency itself that determines when and how the player makes the decision in the first place.Quick question..
if a DE is pass rusher or Run stopper is decided by their Ratings, not the "tendency in their roster".
If a OL is Pass blocker or Run Blocker is decided by their RB ratings and not by a label.
Why this is changing then? it should be a "cosmetically" thing.
Example: You can play around with QB ratings and if you give a guy high enough throw accuracy and other key ratings, even if he has high speed and acceleration, he will be labeled balanced by the game. Now, even though he could have higher scramble important ratings than other qbs in the game that are labeled scramblers, not only will he run a lot less, but when he does run he will usually run in a straight line and get tackled. A qb who is labeled a scrambler, even though he might be slower and less agile than the other qb will run more often and make better decisions when running.
Think of it this way
Ratings = ability
Tendency = logic
The problem is that this bug takes away the link between the two. It takes away your ability to trigger the correct tendency based on ratings... so even though Robinson is a beast for scrambling ratings wise, he doesn't have the logic that tells him to run, avoid being tackled, etc.Follow me on Twitter @cavemangamer

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
Guys come on...you all know that once this issue is patched up you will be enjoying the game again
It definitely sucks that we are inconvenienced by this, but at the end of the day in a couple months none of this is going to matter.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
That is very true, I am just upset that the game came out over a week ago and I still have to wait for however long it takes for them to fix these bugs (the custom pb one too), before I can really settle down and play the game the way I want to play it, thats all.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
You can either trade the game in, or wait it out and enjoy the game minus the rosters.
Honestly we get it--people are angry about this. Don't get me wrong, I am too. Sadly we can't really do anything about it other than bring it to EA's attention which it already has been. They are aware of the issue and working on a patch.

At this point, you're right. I just hope maybe NEXT year EA can avoid something similar.You can either trade the game in, or wait it out and enjoy the game minus the rosters.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Possible Roster Glitch
Every year i think it'll get better, or i wait for a patch only to get sidetracked and not end up really getting my money's worth out of it. This year, i'm playing right thru this issue, realism be damned. The game is still fun to me, honestly, it's too bad this is happening but i haven't really noticed this while i've been playing. Ignorance is bliss you know.
