IMO, the most likely scenario would be a couple of NBA finals between Lakers and Celtics, not Bird or Magic-specific challenges. In other words, instead of challenges you'd have the option of replaying a couple of finals series.

If, for example, the 94 Knicks and 94 Pacers were in the game, you could replay the 94 eastern conference finals series when the two teams met.

I would like to see the 1992 All-Star Game for Magic.

Larry Bird's shootout with Chuck Person - 1991 Playoffs vs. Indiana would be a cool one.

Of course Magic filling in at center for Kareem in the 80 Finals. I always thought he had a triple double, but he didn't.

And tons of their Finals battle. I'm very excited about this.

I think the inclusion of the 1990-91 Warriors (and Magic Johnson) leads one to think that there might be a great possibility of a 1991 Western Conference 1st Round Challenge, or most probably the famous Game 2 shootout between Chris Mullin (who had an amazing 41 points, 16 of 21 shooting, 4 of 4 from downtown, 5 assists) and Magic Johnson.

-I suggested Magic's comeback in the 1992 All Star Game in the 2K board some months ago too, just like Kush predicts.

-I think Larry vs Magic in the NBA finals is a given.

-A early 90's regular season shootout between Bird and MJ game (just like Nique vs MJ in 2K11) *Although it wasn't as back and forwards like the latter, it kinda became a regular season rivalry in the early 90's from 1990 to 1992 in the race for the East.

I'll take what they can provide at this point. It seems like it'd be a tedious task to negotiate with every single player for their right to be in the game (along with then paying them for their likeness - not to mention those who just do not want to take part in the game, regardless). If they can't get Jim Peterson's likeness for that '91 Warriors team, I'll be okay. And I know it's splitting hairs, but I think I remember them saying something loose last year like "we've got all the primary players taken care of" or "we've got the starters for each team and are trying to secure as many as possible for the rest" (which would still leave some explaining to do, like with the Jazz clubs). I'll come in expecting a share of generic appearances. Then again, this is all easy for me to say because I'm not the one who meticulously recreates the missing bench players for everyone else's general usage.

I will say that when SimBaller clarified that the '02 Kings would be included and not the '01 club, he rattled off a solid ten players, including guys like Lawrence Funderburke. I don't know if that means those are the players present and available for that team or if he was just saying the names to illustrate which year he was referring to though.

They need to seriously upgrade the create a player mode so we can make/edit realistic guys to fit into those generic spots.

It's too bad they didn't have all the bench players, but in their defense, they didn't actually say that they had all the players.

What would you rather have; the starting five, complete with sig shots and tendencies or no teams at all?
