Re: I figured this out during E3 (Peter Moore told us!)

This would be unreal. Now I'm really hoping this is the big game changer they were talking about.Ok back at E3, I made a thread in the off-topic section and I thought it was very big news regarding EA sports games. Nobody really said anything.. But now it's looking like that little tid bit that Peter Moore mentioned IS the big announcements for all the EA games.

 Lets analyze.

 I posted this on June 5th, 2011

I was thinking the same thing.

If I'm understand this thing right, about being able to continue a franchise mode from one release to another...that's a HUGE enough announcement for me.1969 NFL ChampionsComment

Re: I figured this out during E3 (Peter Moore told us!)

Well,as much as I agree about the awesomeness on such a feature Vikes, I highly doubt it means continuing franchises. As I posted in another threat, merging different DBs is a big,big deal.
However,IF they are able to make such a system work without corrupting >25% of all save files, we can't give EA enough credit for this!

Unfortunatly, I think Moore only talked about user profiles including statistics, trophys etc.pp.

But I would actually LOVE to be wrong on this Soccer: Werder Bremen, FC Barcelona, Soccer: Werder Bremen, FC Barcelona,
 NBA: Celtics, Bulls, Supersonics
 NHL: Flames
 NFL: Steelers

Yeah, I did have my doubts Shadox, if I was guessing right. I have no idea of the complications involved in what I was hoping this thing meant. Wishful thinking just took over.Well,as much as I agree about the awesomeness on such a feature Vikes, I highly doubt it means continuing franchises. This would be great news if, and only if, they fix gameplay first.Comment

Re: I figured this out during E3 (Peter Moore told us!)

I don't think merging DB's is as big a deal as you think. You just need to create a conversion program and bam its done. Its common place for DB's to get upgrades, new versions and conversions.Well,as much as I agree about the awesomeness on such a feature Vikes, I highly doubt it means continuing franchises. Re: I figured this out during E3 (Peter Moore told us!)

I don't believe it's transferring Be A GM. The reason I don't is because take a look at the Be A Pro revamped article/blog. They said you can't transfer your existing BAP in NHL 11 but your stats, upgrades, etc from 11 will be taken in effect when you start your new character in NHL 12. It will help you upgrade faster due to the time you spent with your NHL 11 character. I'm sure one day we will be able to carry over our franchises, but I don't think it will come this year. If it does that will be sweet for anyone with an existing Be A GM in NHL 11.NHL-Minnesota Wild

Re: I figured this out during E3 (Peter Moore told us!)

i hope you're right Vikes.... like the other poster, i would like this idea too. so playing the actual 82 games per season makes sense. you can continue your "dynasty" in the following version of the game. this can ADD to their marketing for the next year/version.

having the option in your BeGM - "continue previous GM career" or start new GM career. will be a dream come true Comment

I'd even stop my constant wining about a custom season length, if this was a part of it.i hope you're right Vikes.... like the other poster, i would like this idea too. so playing the actual 82 games per season makes sense. you can continue your "dynasty" in the following version of the game. this can ADD to their marketing for the next year/version.

Especially now, with apparently a much more true to life sim engine. I'd actually be cool with playing the 82 game season. Especially now, with apparently a much more true to life sim engine.

Yeah, I agree Canucksss...I'd think too, that being able to continue your franchise modes would be a very big hype able feature. I'd be very happy also, if/when this ever happens.1969 NFL ChampionsComment
