I used to think patches were a good thing, but they seem like a crutch to allow people to rush out games. It seems like too many games are coming out all buggy and they wait for the community too tell them what's wrong. QA has really fallen off especially in current gen gaming.

Don't get me wrong, patches are better than no patches, but I think developers have gotten lazy because they can rely on these.

I design websites for politicians and businesses. If I just rushed out a website without testing it properly and let my clients tell me what's wrong with it, I'd be out of a job.

The default rosters are numbers only. Just load up the game & use those. Remove all other rosters from your HDD/memory device to avoid confusion. If you make edits to your numbered roster just save over top of the default one.

I think people are forgetting that even if you do use the default rosters, the problem still exists. If you change numbers, equip, or anything else it changes tendencies.

If the programmers' bosses at EA dont mind (or encourage it) and the game sells millions, they are technically succeeding at what their job is. If you made a broken website that made millions, you wouldn't consider it a failure, i promise you.

but the sales numbers are going down each year.....so doesn't seem to be success to me. Perhaps it's wiser to spend a little $ for those testers before shipping out the door??

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned as part of the problem or not but...

I just went through an off season and brought in a recruiting class. I haven't really cared about the bug, I was going to edit my players and make them how I want because I can do my best to make them play how I want.

Then I noticed... I hadn't even edited any of them when I noticed the player tendencies were ALREADY wrong. How did I know this? I keep an excel file showing all of my recruits. I noticed it when I got to my WRs. I brought in a 4 star speed WR and he was listed as balanced. So I did a check and ALL of the players in the recruiting class had different tendencies.

Again, not sure if this has been discovered, but perhaps the problems are deeper than we expected.

That would mean that recruiting is busted all on its own. Am I reading your post wrong, or is this correct?

I agree wholeheartedly. It's just there's always a simple explanation for every cliche that gets thrown out when i problem is identified. There's always a few "let's sue!" or "they should all lose their jobs!" or "contact the BBB/the company!" and all these other things, all of which are pipe dreams at best. But yes, you and the poster i originally quoted are correct, this is unacceptable in virtually every other way.

This HAS to be confirmed with pictures unless it already has on one of the other 100s of pages in this thread. I don't recall this being a real issue until about 2 hours or so ago when it seemingly got misinterpreted and spread like wildfire. Somebody needs to confirm or disprove this before it gets out of hand and cheapens the detailed research many others have already done to find the real issues.

Edit: and it's not 100% of recruits, because a few days ago i recruited a scrambler and he REMAINED A SCRAMBER until i edited his jersey number. 100%, he was fine UNTIL I EDITED HIM. I just don't have pics.

Do some testing with my historical rosters haha. I have yet to play an actual game in dynasty because I'm just trying to look at the logic of what goes on, but I need figure out the best stuff to record to see if it's doing what I want.

I don't recall this being a real issue until about 2 hours or so ago when it seemingly got misinterpreted and spread like wildfire.
