This has been confirmed already. Once the recruits get edited in any way, their tendencies change. Same goes for created players.

I'm aware, i'm talking about the sudden appearance of these posts claiming that recruits are recruited as scramblers and change AUTOMATICALLY to balanced and vice versa. There's been a ton of posts to that effect because apparently it's full panic mode time at OS for some of our less "proficient" members.

Edit: and to clarify, i'm in the "this only affects players if they are edited" mindset on this. I know it's a real glitch, i'm just saying it doesn't kill recruiting unless you decide to edit the recruit after he joins your team

Okay, but the wording of the post I quoted was unfortunately imprecise and did not state clearly that the tendencies changed once recruits were edited. It suggested perhaps that recruits just flat came in with different tendencies than they had when they were recruited.

Sounds like this issue is a telephone game thing. I'm not worried at all then. I'll just start an offline dynasty with auto-generated names and keep enjoying the game.

This HAS to be confirmed with pictures unless it already has on one of the other 100s of pages in this thread. I don't recall this being a real issue until about 2 hours or so ago when it seemingly got misinterpreted and spread like wildfire. Somebody needs to confirm or disprove this before it gets out of hand and cheapens the detailed research many others have already done to find the real issues.

Edit: and it's not 100% of recruits, because a few days ago i recruited a scrambler and he REMAINED A SCRAMBER until i edited his jersey number. 100%, he was fine UNTIL I EDITED HIM. I just don't have pics.

It is not a 100% but its happening. I know for sure I recruited a scrambling 5 star QB something I worked hard on and now he is balanced and I didn't change a thing on the guy. I also recruited a pocket passer and he is still a pocket passer, I got a balanced QB that is now a Scrambler. It seems random.

I will say I started this dynasty with named rosters, but since these are randomly generated recruites I'm not sure that matters. I'm going to start a new Dynasty today with default rosters, at the end of season 1 I will take a screenshot of all the players I have recruited while they are still on the recruiting board. I will advance to season 2 and check them again once they are on my team and see if they have changed.

Screw it I'm just going to sim the first season and check recruits to make it faster. Doing that now.

@SGMRock, i'm not doubting you one bit, nothing would surprise me at all. All i'm requesting (and others would like too, i'm sure) is that somebody get a picture or some kind of concrete proof for this. This thread is the place for it, and we don't want to leave any stones unturned on this. I watched this problem go from "maybe" to "probably" to "oh my sweet lord" in a day, and it reaches deeper than we thought. Anything to show how deep is good, i just think proof is needed so that we know what exactly we're dealing with here. I want to know if i'm wasting my time completely playing this game or not.

If i haven't download any named roster...and my game is clean...if i wait for the patch to appear...and after this i will download the named roster...is there going to be any problem?

ok...i don't understand...what is the best thing to do in this situation?...To download the named rosters because this players will only be in the dynasty for 4 years?...or to wait for the patch and then download a new named roster?

I never said that. I don't know what it does to recruits. We just know that pocket passer is one of the tendencies that is not affected in this. They stay the same when you edit them.

Lol you know the way to my heart my friend.

Concrete proof at this point is crowd control. If somebody takes misinformation and drops it in another thread and, as somebody else put it, we end up playing "telephone", it ruins a game for those people who believe everything the read on here. We have pretty solid documentation of everything else, plus it's pretty sweet to be this much more organized than EA without ever meeting each other face to face.

I noticed that on edited rosters if you go to edit their ratings it still shows their original tendency e.g. Oregon's Darron Thomas is a scrambling QB and LaMichael James is a speed back. I played a game against Oregon on AA with and without edited rosters and didn't notice a difference in running style or tendency in the above players. I know people have experienced otherwise.

Either way it's not a dynasty killer for me.

Do NCAA tendencies carry over the Madden Draft Classes? For example if I draft Andrew Luck into Madden is he going to be a speedy player in Madden or will Madden recognize his stats and realize he's not?

I only ask because I don't feel like starting my first dynasty over I planned on using it for Draft Classes so I was just curious. I guess worst case I could always just start a new dynasty and quickly sim a year to get the classes fixed if tendencies do effect draft classes.
