**Keeping Everyone Happy in Happy Valley: A Penn State Nittany
Lions Dynasty**
The past few years in Happy Valley, have been up and down. The Nittany Lions have had some great seasons and some great wins over the years, but recently it seems like the team hasn’t lived up to its full potential. Penn State is considered one of the best programs in the nation and has arguably the best coach in college football history. The team should be competing for Big Ten titles every year and be a national championship contender. Why is Penn State underachieving? Who is to blame?
Many would answer those questions with one name. That name is Joe Paterno. Now some may say, how can that be? Joe Paterno is one of the greatest football coaches to ever live and an even better man. The problem is that he is too old. Joe Pa can no longer fulfill the full duties of a big time college football coach. The man does not even leave the town of State College anymore and that creates a major problem in recruiting.
Problems in recruiting are never good and it seems over the past few years that Penn State has been lacking in all-around talent. The fact of the matter is though that Joe Paterno will never be forced out, he will leave on his own terms. Is that right? Should a man who is hurting the program still stay around? The answers to those questions do not matter. Joe Pa runs Penn State and therefore he will live when he feels like it.
Complaining about Joe Pa will do no one any good. It is best to just root on the great Nittany Lions and hope Joe can pull it together. Could this be the year Penn State finally gets back on the map? With Joe still in charge that may be a tough task, but those in Happy Valley truly hope so. We Are….Penn State!
