NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns

I'm a simple guy. If they can get this fixed pretty quick and give us some cool DLC I would be happy. Cool DLC to me would be the new 2011 Nike Pro Combat Uni's and Oregon's BCS Uni's. I don't expect people/business to be perfect but I do expect them to fix problems quickly and when provide something a little extra to make up for it.

August 14th huh? So I have to wait 3 weeks to possibly start my dynasty, depending on what the patch damages or breaks. Oh well.

I was hoping they could fix it with a tuner without having to wait several weeks for dynasty to be playable. Yeah, yeah, delete your rosters and play with unamed.....NO.

Have they said whether or not the patch will allow for rosters to be salvaged??? If rosters can be saved I guess we will spend the 3 weeks making edits. They better not make us wait for an answer to that atleast! If they havent answered it already.

Seems like no official word yet. I know you guys care about the rosters, and you do good work Buckeye, but I'm hoping they nail down the freezing issues in game and in menus. I've been trying to get an Online Dynasty going with friends who freeze up either recruiting in their offline dynasties, or playing a general play now game.

Jesus same old sh!t, different year. I swear each year the game becomes unplayable late july-august due to some bogus bug/issue. One year it's the rosters messing up w/ symbols in them, one year it's player progression is broken and now this crap? When does Madden drop?

I really don't want to have to start a new dynasty and if this patch kills my rosters, I am going to have to keep ignorning every time I start a game. So lame EA. I honestly think next year will be the first time I don't look forward to this game? I wasn't even that excited this year, and it's getting less and less each year.

Nope, silence. That's all I really want an answer to right now. I want to keep editing like I was doing this past week, but I'll be damned if I'm going to keep going not knowing if all the equipment, hometowns, and other edits I have made are only going to have to be redone.

So frustrated, I can't imagine how the actual roster makers feel right now.

In any case, it has become more increasingly clear that EA has no true testing protocol for these games. They may test them, but I am assuming it is a very light testing process. When I hear words like undeterministic and poorly written when referencing code, that either spells incompetence, laziness, or just lack caring for either their customers or self-respect. My plan was to purchase 2 football titles this year but now it looks like I will only be buying one. When is this company going to realize that customer satisfaction is what drives business? They are in business because of the customer. EA's track record over the last several years is horrible. The games get more "buggy" with each release and their patches only seem to worsen the problems. These games continue to sell, but I imagine, unless something changes quickly, they will see that eliminating competition won't be enough. People eventually get fed-up. They saw the sales drop with Madden and will probably see the same with this series. With that being said, if the person in charge of PR were working for me, they would be on the streets looking for employment.

So frustrated, I can't imagine how the actual roster makers feel right now.

With all the work that went on, I'd imagine a date with a bottle of good beer and a wood chipper.

What if you auto named your roster to start a dynasty will the players still be messed up? Dont wanna search 94 pages, lol.

As far as I've gleamed from the thread, you should be fine. The change on occurs when you directly edit the player. If you let the game rename everyone to "Bob Johnson" or "BigMcLarge Huge", you should be fine.

the game play's great without named rosters, but the ? has to be asked to those OS'ers who got the game EARLY.......why didn't u say anything about this when u had the game weeks before the rest of us?

Makes u wonder what issues with the game are real or fake given all the crap that posted here.

It wasn't an obvious problem. It took time of going through the dynasty to find the problem. Then, once the problem was discovered, it made sense of so many other issues that had been prevalent.

Maybe because they weren't playing with named rosters, since those weren't finished until after release?

People we are the Beta Testers . EA knew about all these bugs. Lets remember that we are passionate about college football and they are passionate about making money. You can complain , call them names , etc. They have your money. They will fix the game when they feel like it. All this interaction with the Community but after the cash has been pocketed .Nothing . On 7/18/11 they made a post on the NCAA 12. blog. About the many issues? No they said this: " NCAA Football 12 is in stores now, and getting rave reviews from the gaming media. Check out some scores we've received so far. Check back often as more will be added once they come in." It is real funny how some people on this site will defend EA. The developers are on vacation . Fine. But if someone can post a go buy of game it is great comment , someone can address all these problems. They do not care.

this is unacceptable. I am going to return my game. Why put the game out when it's obviously not even ready until Aug 14. I should have just waited, at least by then they'll have some sales on it and I can get the game for what it's actually worth, not $60.

I'll hold off on my Madden release day purchase as well.
