This may be the case, or it may not. It would certainly be nice to have an official word one way or the other.

In the mean time, I know that if this were The Show's forums there'd be a calculus project in progress to figure out which ratings to alter and to which degree in order to balance things back out. They're masters at turning problems into tips and workarounds over there.

im pretty sure even the genuises at the show couldnt come up with a solution. so youre talking 2/3 of players who have been affected so you edit the thousands of players to get their tendency back, then you calculate how to balance those changes with the 1/3 who werent affected. there is no true fix or workaround.

it absolutely affects rb's because you end up with players not playing to their ratings.

Not sure how you know that for a fact. I believe, if I recall correctly, last year tuner updates were used to alter progression in dynasty.

It's more of a coding issue. Those can't be fixed with tuner updates. Besides, EA Sports already stated that a patch would be looked into for addressing this particular problem.

The bigger problem is a patch will not be issued to just address this one issue. They'll want as many fixes as possible when releasing another patch. It's not gonna be about this named roster glitch only.

I wish it was as simple as a tuner update fix but it's not gonna happen. It's gonna take a patch & we don't know how long or how well that's gonna go. It's ridiculous!

Just out of curiosity, is anyone doing small rerates on players(specifically the top 25 scrambling QBs) to get them scrambling again? AKA barely turning them into balanced QBs. If so will you be roster sharing?

I know Gotmadskillzson posted either in this thread or another that he new what settings to change on QB's too change their tendancy and had changed a bunch in his Dynasty. Not sure if he did it in a roster before starting the Dynasty or after it was already going.

Yes that is a fact. Played Temple in the sixth year of my dynasty and the QB who I did not touch or edit at all scrambled arounf 15 times on me. He had a 64 or 65 speed rating.

Yes but was the QB listed as a scrambler though?

Here is a bit of good news for this whole fiasco...If you go into the player rating screen editor, whatever he is supposed to be is is according to his ratings IE denard robinson is still is scrambler, and then of course when you back up it will reveal the bug ben and his glorious staff missed which is the tendacy change for which the game sees and goes by instead of the ratings...hopefully, when the patch drops it will simply convert the tenedcies from the ratings into the rest of the ordeal and no roster makers will have to redo their work IF they decide to do so. Now if we can only have ben work in the pass interference calls I will be happy...its only been 5 years men

Jesus same old sh!t, different year. I swear each year the game becomes unplayable late july-august due to some bogus bug/issue. One year it's the rosters messing up w/ symbols in them, one year it's player progression is broken and now this crap? When does Madden drop?

I really think EA knows about these bugs and just hopes half of them arent made a big mess of by customers. There's no way they can't play this game and not notice them.

I think their main goal is just to release a "playable game", and by playable I mean, it boots up, doesnt freeze/kick you back to the Ps3/360 main screen, lets you get to the ffield of play, basically just stuff that they wouldnt need to give you a new disc for b/c that would cost them money and inconvenience.

And no offense, but I wouldnt be too quick to jump onto Madden thinking it will be better right otta the box. If NCAA had been what I thought it was gonna be, I would buy Madden day 1. Not the case now. If it's anything like this, I wont be buying at all

How many times are we going to going to go over this. We will not see another college football for a long time.. 2k had to get rid of a get college basketball game which was sim heaven, so can we get off of the more game crap. If we can't get one game right. Who is to say 3 wouldn't have the same issue

You really think Madden would still have the same stale commentary/presentation if what we saved from NFL 2K5 had been allowed to grow? I didnt like the gameplay on that game, but the presentation was still something that hasnt been topped.

That exclusive license allowed EA to plan long term and stretch their features out over 7-8 years rather than bust their butt to give us the best game possible year in, year out

I agree. Madden was at it's best when it had competition. Madden 2005 is still the best version they have ever made. Since they've jumped to current gen and had no competition it's been pretty terrible.

Competition is a good thing. Without it people don't have a choice in what to buy and developers can get lazy because they know there is no other option.

No body read these threads. Way further back I posted that I combed through 90 percent of the QBs tendency and readjusted them to proper ones. It's in my locker. download and take a look

Biggest mistake tiburon ever made, or EA, was switching to out of house testing, meaning most of their testing is not even at studio now. This is shown in the amount of bugs that have been popping up the past several years since they made that change. I know as I tested at Tiburon for 2 cycles, atleast then it was in house, and alot of us were actual football fans as well. Ian was my actual QA lead at time. Alot of us worked on both titles, NCAA and Madden as well. Trying to save money they switched to more of a QA centralized area for most of the testing for all games, and has not been the same since.

The biggest issue to me has been the altered QB play. I'll learn to live with the rest.

People, if you've bought this game with all the other issues the games have had since 2006, you'll have next years game also.

Enough with the "I'm not going to buy EA games any longer" BS every year.
