    Names the commentators will say

These are a couple names I've heard that aren't given to computer generated players. In some ways, it doesn't make sense to me, wouldn't EA want to use all names that have been in the game's audio files?

    Spoiler

anybody else have some others (sure you do, I know I do, just can't remember them all).

Maybe the CPU is saying something that sounds like one of those names?

There are tons of names with in-game audio that are not used to generate recruit names(example: Tebow). This has always bugged me because recruit name variety is often lacking. I wish Tiburon would merge the pool of names with in game audio with the names that are generated. Yeah, it would be odd to have a recruit named Marcus Tebow in the future, but I'd rather have that than 3 Mike Mason's on the same team. College Hoops 2k8 did this, and it was a small detail that made the game a lot better in the later years of Legacy mode.

Me and a friend are doing like a make shift co-op RTG with safeties at Minnesota and on one of my kick returns Nessler said "Komorowski", my name, which I never in a million years imagined would be in any game ever

Yeah, they have my last name, which is fairly unusual, but I've never seen it used to generate recruits.

No, my last name is not Anaxamander.

My favorite is "Dangerfield". It's been in the audio files for a while (at least since '09, IIRC) - on-field announcer calls by number.

I would guess Nessler and Crew have more names in Audio than the PA man.

Re: Names the commentators will say

Yes a year or two ago EA did the "get your name in the game" for NCAA, a ton of names were added to the commentary by Nessler, Kirk and Corso.

The PA guy did not get any love with the updated names.

I know my name made it in "Chiavuzzi".

No one remembers a few years back they had the site you could send in names for the announcing team to say? I know I sent mine in and Nessler says it ever since

                      sent from parts unknown

Re: Names the commentators will say

Right, and that's cool and all, but I don't understand why generated recruits can't sometimes have these names. In my opinion, every name with in-game audio should be in the name pool for generated recruits. It would add a tremendous level of diversity to the names later on in dynasty mode.

Yeah, whenever I play (or watch) a game in dynasty, I literally have to edit the other team's roster (mainly with names this year, EA did a better job of getting the right equipment on the different posistions) just because I hate looking at Matt Davis passes to Eric Smith.
