If I use the default rosters but create a coach at the start of dynasty will the glitch be prevalent? How about if I create a coach down the road?

Re: NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns
I know this is 100 pages deep and I doubt anyone from EA is actually reading this deep but if they are, for this page which inevitably will need to be a big one (As in encompassing multiple problems, not just the roster glitch).
1.) Dynamic Conference Prestige needs to be coded in. All other pitches are dynamic with some changing over the course of the season (Coach Prestige) which means instead of a static 'if team = SEC than value = A' string of code (not the literal code) they replace the static programming with a dynamic piece of code that is rated relative to other conferences. Unless your making super conferences there should only be 1 A+ conference and 2 A and 1 A- and than the mid majors and struggling AQ's fall in the B's and so on.
Independence should always be a F. It's annoying that in the first year it tends to be an A to favor ND. (Unsure if it's changed this year, but in previous years it started strong and then after a year or after ND left it would retrograde to a terrible rating. The interdependency is not a conference and it needs to be reflected as such. If a recruit generally wants to play in a power conference then why should ND (and now BYU) be given a higher advantage or any team put in there? It's hypocritical.
2.) Blocking interactions
I have no issue with not having ten seconds in the pocket. But when your forced to scramble and move around the pocket even against poor defensive lines it leaves you scratching your head. Year in and out I lead the dynasty (or top 10) in sacks. It seems they don't properly hit and focus too much on the canned backpedal animation that allows blitzers or even defensive lineman break past them. Even when backpedaling they should at least put their body infront of them. It would alleviate a lot of issues with 'nano' blitzes and begin to gradually increase the effectiveness of PA passes and longer developing pass plays.
3.) Fix pass trajectory or change the lob
The overall pass trajectory is too low, and the lob is way too slow for anything other than a deep ball. It's impossible to put enough touch to just slip it past a defensive lineman or LB and it get's swatted down 9 times out of ten if the player is directly in the path of the ball even if the pass is intended 15-20 yards down field. If it's five or maybe even some 7-10 yards I understand, but It's annoying to think you have a guy open only to have the LB swat it down.
4.) Mix up defensive playcalls
Why does the CPU pretty much only run zone defenses (meaning it's easy to pick up yards on the run and the improved zone makes it difficult to pass). I rarely see any diverse calls and it makes the game seem more predictable.
5.) Fix roster glitch
6.) Dynamic CPU Gameplanning
This is patchable at least it should be, it existed in previous games if your leaning towards a pass or run than you would see them shift towards stopping those sets. If your burning them with a WR they would start double covering him, if your LT is playing like a sieve they will blitz his gap, so on.
If your tearing up the run in the backfield than they run more passes and if your intercepting things left and right they may put the ball on the ground more. Dynamic gameplanning is something that used to be in and somehow managed to disappear. 'Set up' plays really don't have any benefit. On PA passes you rarely see the safeties cheat up or even bite on the fake like they used to, you don't see them adjusting to anything your doing at all. You can run the same plays and not worry about them jumping routes. I've seen it rarely but I don't know if it's up to dynamic gameplanning or the play they picked was a good choice. But most times they seem to have no strategy outside of following the basic guidelines of their playbook.
7.) Fix Coach Progression
In two years, I went from a 4-8 Wake Forest got to a C+ as the OC, and most of the way through my second year I am hitting a B+ and could realistically be a A by the end of the year. How many two year coaches at a weak school are towards the top of your prestigious coaches list? If anything make it relative, spend a little bit more and put the coaches and their records prior to the 2011 season into the game. CHoops did it to an extent. So it wouldn't be against NCAA rules to get the coaches in the game
8.) Fix the bug where OC/DC games were not counting towards records and as a result hurt your TV exposure and your Championship contention rating.
9.) Fix the jerseys. They don't get dirty, there are videos showcasing some good looking late game graphics and no game I've played has lived up to those. It was an issue last year and it's an issue again. Don't advertise it if your game doesn't have it. Good way to alienate your fan base. Please fix this.
10.) Fix Super Sim so it isn't only good for five minute games, it kills the OC/DC experience.
11.) Add an option in RTG to skip pass plays as a RB or skip run plays as a QB / WR in the options menu
12.) Add the ability to skip past your Road to Glory highlights after the game
12a.) Add the option to just not have it pop up in the options menu
And for next year, they need to get FCS teams into the game. I get that we have teambuilder but that doesn't replace the fact that you have 20 teams playing a FCS West a week and it kills the realism. I don't need a concurrent season and after the first year if they just randomized the rosters and put the cap on a FCS team at a C+ or something so it was a bit more mixed up. They are pushing for realism and it's not realistic to be playing FCS West. It would at least give some motive for scheduling a FCS team. It's odd they can't even just throw them on the disc. It's not a space issue,NCAA installs at about 6 GB or around and the average 360 disc is about 12.8 GB (somewhere in that range) and database tables for the FCS would at most add 1 more GB. Even if they just did a complete crapshoot and just threw random players on the teams it would be good. Anything to get the obnoxious FCS Wests and such out of the game.
If they can patch at least 7 of those things in I'll be happy. The blocking interactions and roster glitch at the top of that list for me.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns
Dynamic conference prestige is unneeded as I've seen in my tests. Independents are managing just fine in the rankings, but with the recruiting bugs, I haven't paid as much attention to that. Independents should not be punished just because you don't deem them worthy. Try getting out of the 90's-00's and you'd see it was much more prestigious and common to be an independent. I think the pitch period needs to be dropped. Thankfully it seems they toned down the effect conference had on rankings from last year.
And by the way, independents don't all have the same prestige. Notre Dame is an A+; BYU, Army, and Navy are D's, the lowest possible score. It works how you want it to already. Any new independent gets a D, which I don't think is right, but I've seen plenty beat the system in the rankings, including 3 making the BCS in a sim I did recently.Last edited by Redacted01; 07-26-2011, 07:03 PM.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns
Why say stuff like that? That's just stupid.
Obviously they're working on it. I think we've just been spoiled with the devs coming to this site with updates in the past. Just because they haven't been direct and specific in their timetable for correcting this issue, obviously they're going to fix it. I understand now why mods ban so quickly. All this stupid 2k talk is so annoying.
Wow. Talk about low standards.Comment

Yes. Don't even need to quote the rest.
You act as though it's a requirement that they post here. It's not, by a longshot. It's a privilege, one that has been thoroughly abused by this community in the last few years.Comment

Not everyone abuses them. Some of us would rather help them make the game better. I even made a nice table for them showing what types of players tendancies change to other tendancies so they could troubleshoot it easier... :P
I'll even show them this video in hopes they fix this some year.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns
Well, it is working for me.
I just edit QB's as Balance and they'll save as Scramblers and vice-versa.
Same thing with RB's.
Edit runners as Balance and they'll save as Speedy and vice-versa.
The trend seems to follow with all the other classifications also.
Just don't feel like waiting to enjoy the game, as Ratings must be adjusted to achieve what I want to see during Gameplay.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns
Alright, after reading some 50 pages it's confirmed that all recruits will have their tendency changed, no matter what you do during recruiting? Is this an accurate statement?
Wouldn't this constitute a dynasty game killer?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns
That's an affirmative. As for it being a dynasty killer its subjective. Balanced/scrambler qbs will still take off on you though its been shown it might be negligible. Some people say there's a big difference in swapped play, others say its not that heavy. Its all how you feel about it.

You have to plazy around with the attributes some to get them back to the correct designation. Like for qbs strength is a(the?) key attribute to get a scrambler from balanced and vice versa. I haven't really played around with the other positions to see what the "triggers" are. I'm sure other guys in the thread have though.
