    Playing as an Offensive Coordinator

I'm starting to think this is a waste of time.

Sure it's fun, but...super sim issues, just like the last 3 years still exist. Last 6 drives by Stanford:

    97 yards 2 plays :18
    71 yards 1 play :07
    93 yards 2 plays :18
    91 yards 3 plays :37
    55 yards 1 play :07
    77 yards 3 plays : 28

Would maxing out the defensive sliders for my team fix this?

Lol I just deal with it. You never get close against amazing teams as sucky teams, but against teams near you're level you'll get closer.

My defense has never had a game like that....ever. Even when I was with Memphis

Yeah I've never seen it. I just thought being OC was boring

On the + side, starting as an OC makes the coaching career fantasy work and the games go by much faster. On the negative side you feel helpless against the opponent because some games your D coughs up points every drive.

I scout my opponent and set my coaching D sliders before each game based on the opponents strength in running and passing. Don't know though if that affects the sim at all. In game, if my D sucks, I'll try re-setting the D gameplan to be more aggressive or conservative, but again don't know if that affects the sim.

Playing as OC at Hawai'i and I swear if I could find his office I'd wring the DC's neck.

I changed the defensive sliders to 75...it works better, though I just gave up 62 pts to USC (using Colorado) and 663 yards.

I wonder in Dynasties like this where you only play one side of the ball, if maxing sliders on the USER end of the ball you don't control would fix some of this?

IE if Youre an OC, then max all user defensive sliders to 100.

It does bother me, but it just makes me want to become a head coach that much more.

it does fix it...100 (cpu at defaut on offense) works well...almost too well.

80-85 seems to be a sweetspot.

It bothers me as well, but I'm focusing on completeing my goals and developing my new recruits. Thankfully my lousy DC was fired for failing nearly every goal and the new guy's D seems to be playing with a greater sense of not-awful. Hopefully now we can win the close games and I don't have to look at a 3 point lead with 1 minute left in the fourth and know that, yeah, they are going to score and win.

I've been OC at Idaho and am in my second season. I don't "Sim" at all... I always choose "Watch Play" and I have never seen so many 2 play drives as the OP has. I'm using good sliders and my first year actually had 4 games I won w/ 4th quarter comebacks and one OT win.

                          So maybe try not simming...

Watch all the plays.. It makes the game play out a lot better and that stats aren't nearly as crazy.

I'll try watching and see if that helps. Now in my original post, Stanford is ranked #3 nationally, and has the #1 offense.

what sliders does everyone put their defense at? The CPU offense?

I'm wondering if 50/50 isn't the way to go until I get a HC job.
