    A 4-8 bowl team

In my dynasty, 4-8 LSU is taking on 5-7 Indiana in the BBVA Compass Bowl. Three other 5-7 teams (Ohio State, North Carolina, and Tennessee) are also in bowl games. What a weird season.

Pics or it never happened. I also have a hard time believing all of those teams can be so terrible in the same year.

My buddy made it to the Hawaii bowl at 5-7, but aren't they guaranteed a bowl there every year? Also, some 5-7 teams made another bowl, it was Tenn and some one else... which ever bowl is listed above the beef O brady one.

I believe it. I've seen 5-7 teams make it to bowl games in previous versions.

I saw about 4 5-7 teams make bowl games in my dynasty year 3, I have played around with conference membership some though.

I have yet to see a 4-8 team get in a bowl. Interesting thing I noticed, 5-7 teams got in over 6-6 teams with 2 or more wins over FCS teams (Sun Belt has 6 teams in my dynasty so the schools play about 3 or 4 FCS games a season)

It should only happen if there aren't enough bowl eligible teams. Once I saw 5-7 Arkansas go to a bowl when there were other eligible teams, but that is the ONLY case I've seen and I have simmed somewhere in the number of 20 seasons in dynasties for testing. I'm not buying 5-7 OSU and 4-8 LSU. These teams are still winning 8+ games a year several years in.

I've seen it once in 5 years of playing through my dynasty. Florida State was 4-8 and played in a bowl game (and got their tails kicked).

Did any of those teams win their conference? North Texas, IRL, won the Sun Belt and made a bowl at 5-7.

I've seen some one post on here that they saw a 5-win conference champion not go to a bowl game in NCAA 12, so no idea. I'm thinking OP is exaggerating.

LSU is 1-5 in the first year of my Dynasty, I think they got hit by the injury bug this year alot, and i know with this game it is possible that those teams with bad records could get into a bowl game, but i dont know why people think that the OP would make this up.

The same reason someone came on here and said he had 10 QB's with over 6000 yards and in the neighborhood of 60 touchdowns. It turns out his brother edited the ratings. When people post things that no one else has seen and the game has been out for weeks now, it is rather questionable, especially when someone like myself has spent tons of time doing dynasty simulations looking for things exactly like this.

the reason for the 5-7 teams getting in is because EA put in the bowl tie ins and for some reason they override the records, say the sec has 8 bowl tie ins but only 6 bowl eligible teams instead of using 2 qualifying teams from other conferences they still put the 2 5-7 SEC teams in, been like that for years and it hasnt been fixed...never have seen a 4 win team though

This isn't true. The Big Ten has 8 tie-ins in this game and routinely another team has taken over the bids when they haven't filled them. Same goes for the other conferences. The WAC and MWC routinely don't fill their New Mexico bids (WAC doesn't touch the Kraft Bowl bid but once in a blue moon), but they have been filled by Pac schools, SEC schools, etc... never an under-.500 WAC school.

In my dynasty, we are trying out POGGO's method of 5 BCS conferences 5 feeders, and the MIGHTY SUNBELT. We are doing it a little different, instead of swapping teams every year we are doing it every 4 years, that way we give a school a good shot to play everyone in the conference. Anyways i am keeping track of every schools recod over the 4 years, this is how i will dtermine who goes and who stays.

In going through and recording records i came across a 4-9 NC State. I thought how is that possible, my buddy pointed out that there must not have been enough eligible schools....so NC State was chosen for a bowl.

Why would somebody just make this up and come in here and post it? Do people actually do stuff like that?
