What has influenced u to buy madden 12?

first things first. i will be buying madden this year. i buy madden every year. This year the only reason is honestly the franchise mode. that is where i spend all of my time. i love it. im a football junkie and building teams up and feeling satisfied when u make good drafts or roster moves is great.

that being said. i also feel like i have madden 12 already. minus the nfl license. from what i have i seen, madden 12 and ncaa 12 are the same game.

lets forget features and game modes. im talking aspects that directly effect core gameplay.

yes madden has new broadcast cameras to counter the espn integration in ncaa 12.

lets just call the commentary a tie in awefullness.

and the team intros are tied as well.

ncaa 12 has dynasty, madden has franchise

ncaa has formation subs and custom playbooks, madden counters with gameflow. which is hopefully fixed this year.

but in terms of core gameplay. are these not the exact same game?
i remember back in the day when madden always had a lil something extra than ncaa 12 to separate itself. but the past 2 years, both have added the exact same new gameplay enhancements. madden has not added anything more to set them apart.

so other than the attraction of the nfl license or the new franchise mode. what is influencing you to spend another 65.57 on a football game with the exact same gameplay you already own??

myself and the rest of our community are franchise junkies as well, take that thrill of a great trade or draft gem and imagine rubbin it in the face of ur buddies or dominating other guys in your league with him haha makes for some good times! however, since we only have multi-season leagues (online franchise is FAR from a franchise) we pretty much HAVE to buy the game since it maxes out at 10 years per franchise and we run 5-8 leagues during the course of a year. other than that, nobody i know is or has been impressed/excited about the new features this year or past years. again, we only buy it because there is no alternative.

we are all sim ballers and there are still too many fundamental problems such as improper db/wr technique and lack of foot planting at its core that haven't been addressed to really warrant a full purchase based on gameplay improvements alone.

on a positive note i think what they have done with offline franchise and DPP looks great in terms of what we can hopefully expect for online franchise in the future, with the customization options of a ncaa commish. oh, and the grass stains looks nice...good job by mike and the art department as always those guys do make the game LOOK amazing. but from what i saw in terms of zone coverage doesn't look more realistic though, rather than just improved reaction time off a button press (still holding that thought til i play the demo to give it a fair chance). when defenders are reacting with their backs turned there is a problem and muddies the line of simulation and arcade gaming.

Because I didn't buy Madden last year and I really need an NFL game! And the offline franchise upgrades. Hopefully(in the near future) it will get back to where Madden 2005 was( radio, newpaper, ect.). Like i said i didn't buy the game last year but, do they still have training camp like last gen had? That was always fun

Franchise imprrovments and no other reason! Madden online is designed for glicthers and bum hunters and the online leagues are laughable. I might have passed on madden again this year if offline hadnt been improved. No other mode in the game holds even my slightest interest. Btw i'll wait to get it used as i still don't think it warrants a $60 price tag!

Mainly the franchise improvements. Also the new player traits and DPP.

No warping into players and the improvements to zone defense is nice too.

i believe it is a new feature being introduced by ea.

since when has a new feature ever worked correctly the first year it has been introduced by ea in its football games on the current next gen cycle?

there is always something wrong with it or broken

some reviews i have read from ppl who played it at e3, they said it was unnoticeable. nothing like the change between 1st and 2nd half like the intro video they had.

honestly i think diff aspects may change. u may see a dropped ball or errant pass here or there. but nothing so out of the ordinary you stop and say, holy crap thats dpp in action...

it will be broken at first and they will have to either fix it in a patch or tuning update.

so that is why i am not mentioning it.

that is not me hating on ea or talking bad about their product

that is just how ea has conditioned me after several years of issues in ncaa and madden that should have never even been there.

it is simple psychology...continually pump new features in your football games then have them be broken at release and that is eventually how i start to feel.

i am expecting dpp to be broken in madden 12. along with some franchise issues.

however i feel less angry when i notice them because i already have come to expect them based on ea's performance the last 7 years...

they have me conditioned exactly how they want.
