I honestly, believe that this has to be some guys first sports game this gen. I mean, it has to be.

As much as I dislike what sports games have become with with devs relying on patches and such. I can say that patches and tuners are actually a great thing. Well, in the long run anyway. It's much better than what we used to have. Which was if I game came with a bug then, you were just SOL. Also, it's funny to see people act like that this is an issue exclusive to EA. Every sports game I've played this gen has had a ton of issues out of the box. But, I guess since EA is viewed as the "Evil Empire" some guys have selective memories.

My wife says that I could use a patch every now and then... I don't mind them for sports games. If you have a Live account, I think it's a nice added feature. Would I like it better out of the box? Sure...who wouldn't? But I'm a very patient person. I've ran my slider tests and have a solid set so I will wait for rosters to improve and game improvements and will really enjoy this game once it's tweaked a bit more. This game has its frustrations, but I'm willing to wait for EA to provide a solid update...

Ya I already made a thread on that. I didn't know it was actually a rule either and I currently play high school football

i played hs fb as well (though that was 10 yrs ago so things may have been dif ) and i never recalled this, not even for college... im wondering if this is a new rule? must be something cause like in his reply, i do see it stop from time to time. i also dont like the fact that i cant shobo into the endzone nor choose my celebrations or do it w/ the mascot whats up w/ that?

Wow, talk about hyperbole and being on a crusade...

And to those saying what will be addressed in Tuner sets, forgive us who will wait for confirmation from EA, the folks who actually made the game.

Ever game has had it's issues, hell we look past FO3, Oblivion and those style of games and those have had several bad to game breaking issues and those are game of the year.

It's popular to blindly hate on EA. End of story.

Yes it sucks, with this generation your seeing testing become less necessary. Along with the one year dev cycle they don't have time to be constantly having people testing. Sucks and we should've gotten more of a kick back than an 'advance online for free' this year, maybe a code for everyone with an online pass for a free DLC of their choice? Personally the freebie isn't helping me while it will be great for others.

No I don't believe it's right that games are coming out broken, but to be tearing EA a new one on something that hasn't even been released yet is pointless. Assuming it's going to spur on new game breaking issues is an extremely pessimistic view. Don't forget, this is horrible publicity for a company that prides its self in AAA gaming, if you don't believe they want to sweep this under the rug fast than your wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if people are breathing down Ben Haumiller and crew's neck right now to get things fixed.

Just remember they have to fix it for the majority, not the vocal minority.

Enjoy what you have, EA didn't force $60 from your wallet and hand you the game without your consent. If you believe EA's issues are as bad as people seem to be ranting, the simple answer is be a smart consumer and not buy the product.

I'm really happy with the way the game is playing (couldn't say that about every EA game) so this patch better not mess anything.

The online stuff is a little different, but really the only thing I hoped for is to solve the super LB stuff. It's ok sometimes, but man is it annoying.

Lower the CPU Tackling below 25 on AA and lower Pass Coverage below 35 on AA to get rid of a majority of the mirroring and LB super jumps. I rarely see it now. Check out my sliders over in the OS Legends Season 2 slider testing thread.

That is correct.

I may just go ahead and use the default rosters (auto-named) and play through a "test" Dynasty while I'm waiting for the patch. As long as I don't advance to the off-season training, my recruits won't change attributes and I can just put the file aside until the patch drops.

Just because it is the status quo doesn't mean it should be. I expect products I buy to work correctly out of the box. That should be the status quo.

While I agree with your point unfortunately that means you will be disappointed with every sports game this generation. Even widely acclaimed series/games like NBA2k, MLB The Show, and APF 2k8 require patches.
