Does the glitch really affect much more than the QB?

I mean realistically what difference would it make for a possession receiver versus a speed receiver? His routes will be based on this position. It isn't like he won't run as many slants just because he is switch to speed.

Linemen are still going to block based on the play call. Just because they are pass blocking tendency they aren't going to not run block.

I'll admit that defensive backs might go for more tackles versus breaking up passes, but it would still depend on the play, defense called, position, etc.

Power running backs might try to run people over more than speed backs, but how many plays would this really affect each game. Maybe 5 or 10?

I agree there is a glitch. I agree it needs to be fixed. I agree to a point that it affects gameplay, but I just don't see it as a huge deal. That is just my opinion.

I was wondering the same thing but seems like people don't know.

For me personally I feel like there is a difference. As I tell all my friends, if you dont buy into the whole roster glitch thing play an offline game with the default unnamed rosters and there is no way you dont see a difference.

Yea I don't really notice it outside the QB position. I have QBs who scramble a lot now which is annoying cause it's tough to defend when it's not a designed scramble. Even my own QB on ASU can run well. But outside that, don't notice it at all.

I am going to have to agree with you here. I did some extensive testing with sliders this weekend, using named rosters. The named rosters seem to significantly change the game play. There is a difference.

The glitch also effects pass rusher de(making thema run stopper or balanced limits or stops them from using moves to rush the quarteback.

Speed rbs at balanced run into people instead of trying to dance around(juke spin).
Power rbs that are moved to balanced or speed start juking and spinning more than stiff arms and trucking.
Coverage cbs turn into hard hitters and dont get the ints they should, but start laying the lumber on bigger rbs than they are.

Its lots of little things that change to make a big difference in how those players SHOULD be playing. Everyone knows who denard robinson is so its easy for us all to talk about how he wont scramble more than 3 times as a balanced qb a game(unless simmed). In real life though, we all know he would run the moment he didnt see anyone open or he saw a gap he could get through in the d... He's had games where he ran 15-25 times a game last year. You cant tell me him scrambling 3 times is acceptable then as realistic.

If you're not the biggest fan of college football and just play cause you like the game, you might not notices these small things. But for hardcore stat junkie gaming nerds(not a putdown, Im one myself), who love realism in video games.... we get annoyed when things "just arent right".

Pardon my ignorance as I've read quite a few posts on this topic, but want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly: If I simply leave the rosters on default with numbers, everything works properly? If so, I'll just play games with everything at default until the patch comes out then worry about downloading named rosters.

Unfortunately, you'll still have problems starting with the first batch of recruits that get on campus(2nd year in otherwords). The glitch doesnt JUST effect named rosters, it effects all players edited/created by the cpu as well.

Your original roster should play as it should, but once you get recruits to start playing, you'll notice they dont play the way they should.

So this glitch affects ALL rosters? even buckeye and gators?
