Will I have to restart my dynasty for the patch to take effect?

I don't think it is hate as much as it is disappointment.
Year in and year out we trust that EA will release the game we all believe they can. Some people own consoles just for this game, I know, I am one. There is no game release I anticipate as much as this one. I look forward to starting my dynasty and very much look forward to the future patch.
Now we wait...Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
So what would we all do if they did release the perfect football game? Then next year there is really nothing they could do to make it better because it is already perfect.
IDK how I would feel if they released the perfect game and I knew it was perfect, then next year I know I am going to get the exact same thing....
Ding ding ding....why buy next years, I already have the perfect game!..."And there's a frequent bug that turns the receivers' route markers into dancing squiggly lines. None of these problems destroy the fun of running a perfect option play, but they do take you out of what should be an immersive experience."....Comment

The game will never be perfect. It can't be... we have never had a perfect football game and probably never will. Can we have a more complete game? Yes. A more thoroughly tested game? Yes. A game that is more closely a simulation to the sport it represents? I believe we can. The ball is EAs court now. The exclusive agreement alone won't keep customers. We saw that with the decline in sales for Madden, NCAA will see the same.So what would we all do if they did release the perfect football game? We are too far along in the next gen cycle for it to be an excuse. I imagine that there is a lot riding on the success of this patch and the Madden release. I just hope they realize it.Comment

I have a bad feeling the freezing is going to continue. I've had it in 3 of 10 games in my dynasty so far. While the game was loading, while the game was exiting, and one after the first play of the second half. So it clearly can happen at any time.Comment

It's this right here. I didn't buy Madden 11 I thought that I wouldn't be able to go the whole football season with out, since I've been playing it since the SEGA Genesis. I didn't miss it at all. I'm all in for Madden 12, but if this game doesn't do it for me, I'm pretty sure that is it for me.
For what ever reason this version of NCAA has kinda upset me. I think it plays really well on the field. Not perfect but a pretty good game. All the bugs, and hearing why the game didn't get tested properly have turned me off a bit. I'm one person, but I think that I am reaching the apex of my frustrations with next-gen football.Moderator

I had gone several years without buying Madden or buying it but giving up on it after a few weeks. Wasn't really a big deal, I survived. Played some APF, played some text sims (Strat, 2nd and ten, FOF, etc). Got outside and surfed more, watched more games, etc. It's this right here. It would be to big of a patch to fix audio and the freezing/roster issues.
I'm sure 13 will get an audio boost with Fifa's sound technology.Comment

I decided to try writing a blog and my first entry is somewhat related to what you are getting at here (in sig). The game will never be perfect. With a yearly game release, EA is almost better off having "room for improvement" each year. If they were to put out that tru gem of a game, folks might be content just updating rosters for a few years. It would destroy future game sales. The only way around this is a subscription based model, where the concept of a game each year really isn't valid, just an updated/patched version.Comment

^^This. Exactly what I have been thinking that games like these -that come out yearly with some "improvements" and roster updates- need to come to.I decided to try writing a blog and my first entry is somewhat related to what you are getting at here (in sig).
