I wholeheartedly agree. My friend Jared and I played the snot out of this game back in the day.

I always ran with Texas because 1 through 5 (Austin, Stan, Daniel, Will and Martin) they were heads and shoulders above the rest of the US teams. Texas also had a dominant #1 in their rotation: Joseph. Hawaii ranks as the second best US team with New York and California close behind IMHO.

Internationally, Canada was the only team who I found to be consistently formidable. They had very few weaknesses top to bottom. Chinese Taipei and occassionally Japan could also pose a difficult challenge.

A great game, I need to go back and play it again. I spent too much time obsessing over RBI Baseball, Baseball Stars, and Dusty Diamond's at various points of time, maybe it's time to give this one a shot at obsession.
