Hurricanes improve record
Hurricanes win a huge ACC Battle at Home.

Lamar Miller could not be stopped

Miami Gardens, FL - Just weeks before the bowl season is upon us and things are shaping up well. This week we bring you the hurricanes vs the blue devils. Homecoming week here in Florida and you could feel it in the atmosphere around campus. Miami came out with that swagger and put on a show for their home crowd.

The hurricanes started the game off with the ball and you could hear the roaring of the crowd. Miami put a heavy emphasis on the running game here tonight, as they were just pounding the ball back and forth to milk the clock. Mixed in with a lite passing game and they were moving the ball all over the dukes defense. After a long five minutes had passed the hurricanes put up the first score of the game with a quick slant route to Senior Receiver Tommy Streeter for the touchdown. [0-7] Duke looked better on offense then they did on defense. Quarterback Sean Renfree and his offense just was plain out destroying the hurricanes defense. Surprisingly they were creeping up to the hurricanes endzone rather quickly then expected but thanks to Ball hawking Senior Safety Ray Ray Armstrong who intercepted the ball in the endzone to close out their drive.

The Hurricanes didn't waste their chance to put up more points on the board after the interception. Quarterback Ryan Williams waste no time in finding freshmen tight end Trevor Hill for a long touchdown pass. [0-14] Two touchdowns in back to back succession like that just seemed to make the crowd more excited to see their team just dominate.

The second quarter began with a huge play thanks to the nations leading rusher Lamar Miller who broke out a 27 Yd rushing touchdown on the blue devils. It did not end their for the hurricanes,as they also tacked on 3 more points to the lead. [0-24] Only in the second quarter of the game and you could tell this was gonna be a blow-out for the hurricanes. Duke's offensive coordinator Matt Luke finally got the offense going with some big plays in both the running and the passing game. Sean Renfree posted duke first touchdown of the game by running the ball in himself for the score.[6-24]

The blue devils finally were coming alive on both sides of the ball. On defense they relentlessly brought the pressure and forced two Ints and a key forced fumble to score just before the quarter ended.[13-24] Going into the half with the momentum that duke had. We could see a turn of events here in Miami with duke walking away with a victory.

Dukes defense made some key interceptions

Williams was getting knocked around all-night

The third quarter began and we seen a great game from both teams here tonight. It was the hurricanes game to loose if they could get things done right on offense and defense. They cam out of the gates swinging with a quick field goal to extend their lead. [13-27] After that the quarter went dead with both teams offense stalling on their drive and defense making key stops to end drives. With about 0:33 secs left on the clock the hurricanes broke down deadlock between the two teams and scored with a 34 Yd touchdown to Tight end Trevor Hill for his 2nd touchdown of the night. [13-34] The fourth quarter is here and duke is trailing big time. That still did not stop their offense from making some big plays down the field which set them up in the hurricanes redzone. The blue devils waste no time in finding the endzone, as Sean renfree connected with the tight end Braxton Deaver for a quick score. [20-34] Just like in the third quarter we saw yet another deadlock between these two teams battle it out for dominance on the field. Luckily for the hurricanes they had a big time target who could not be stop in tight end trevor hill who scores his 3rd touchdown of the night which gave Miami the victory! [20-41]
