At the receiver position there is really no doubt that Jerry Rice is the greatest of all time. Period!

Until another receiver beats Jerry Rice's 11 consecutive seasons with more than 1000 yards and 7 consecutive seasons with 10 or more TDs, there can be no comparison. Especially considering the game and rules are much more passing friendly now than they were in the 80's and 90's when Jerry was in his prime.

I cant lie when I got into football JR was later in his Seattle Oakland Denver days so I missed him at his best. The best Ive seen was TO. (I never saw Min games to really appreciate Randy Moss).

It's a legitimate question.. The Johnson vs Johnson thread saw that people value different things when it comes to evaluating players. Sure, Rice might be a unanimous pick, but that doesn't mean that people who value potential/talent more would say someone else is better

You fail to realize that people can have different opinions on things

Rice can be the best of all time based on production, etc.. but that doesn't mean that someone else wouldn't rather have a big, physical freak at WR
