I noticed this in Madden 12 as in all previous versions of the game. Say at the play calling screen my opponent picks 3 WR 1 TE 1 Rb set and I select 3-3-5 man defense. For some reason the OLB that should be assigned to the RB/TE on his side is assigned to the RB/TE way on the other side of the line which can cause a huge matchup problem. Now normally I manually re align them before the snap but usually the CPU or the human opponent snaps the ball so fast I can not go back to the player I want to control. I can see this happening sometimes if a player is moving guys in motion but I am talking before any of that happens I notice this even on Quarters coverage when the SS is assigned to cover the RB he is not only so far away but the SS is lined up on the wrong side of the field.
