Anyone else think its fair to have 2 favorite teams? (1 NFC & 1 AFC)

I don't know I have always loved having 2 different favorite teams in every sport from different conferences such as Falcons/Jags, Mavs/Bucks. Do you think this is like fair to have or should it only be 1? Never really met anybody that had 2

How would it not be fair? If it's your preference, go for it. I have 2 favorite teams in every sport.

I am a diehard Dolphins fan but I root for my hometown team when they play everyone but Miami.

I occasionally root for the Jets when they are underdogs. But all other times I hate them. Then again I root for most underdogs.

But I dont see what is "unfair" about being a fan of two teams.

I don't really have a 2nd favorite team. I tend to just have a slight admiration to teams that have LSU players, like the Cards this year due to PP7 and Chiefs(Bowe,Dorsey, Jackson, etc).

Choosing a local team doesn't really work out for me as the Dolphins bore me to death, I hate the Bucs, and I like the Jags slightly cause of MJD but they're never on TV.

I used to get mad about this stuff when I was like 12, lol. Now that I'm older I know there's bigger things in life to be upset about then someone rooting for two teams. As long as they're not rivals I don't really have a problem with it.

I don't root for any other teams with the passion that I root for Houston, BUT I do like quite a few franchises and want them to do relatively well.

Broncos, Dolphins, Eagles, Packers, to name a couple.

I am a New Yorker so I root for all the NY teams. But my favorite football teams are the Pats and the Giants, I grew up liking them both. I also root for the Jets (when they are not playing the Pats or when the Pats have been eliminated).

It's fine. Like who you want to like.

To me it's only lame when you're jumping on a bandwagon because Team X suddenly got a stacked roster or started winning all the time.

Completely agree.. As long as you're not hopping from bandwagon to bandwagon and boasting about how great "your (new) team" is, I don't think anyone really cares who you like..

Patriots are my team , but every year an underdog who over achieves. I'll root for them as long as they aren't playing the Pats.

I don't really have an affinity for NFC teams these days though I appreciate and want teams like the Redskins and Niners to have success again. I'm a dyed in the wool Bills fan and will continue to be so but when the playoff races are heating up and the playoffs start, usually without my Bills even sniffing any of that competition I tend to find a team to at least "like".

Just so long as you're not a bandwagon fan it's ok to like who you wanna like.

I say go ahead with the conference thing.

I like the Packers and my wife likes the Jets (imagine the crap I got from her when Favre was traded). So I tend to root for them as long as the Packers aren't involved. The only rules I have with fans is:

No two teams in a division. No bandwagoners.

                            Other than that it's cool.

Sure. Why wouldn't it be okay? I myself am a Cardinals fan to the blood, but I do root for the Chiefs as well since Haley went to be the coach there. I just want him to do well 'cause of what he accomplished here. The accomplishment of course being the Super Bowl run. Could not have done it without Haley and Warner.
