    Dynasty Traditions

There was a thread like this for last years game, and I thought that it was very interesting. For some reason I like to hear all of the special things people do in their dynasties, whether it is giving all players long sleeves, giving impact players single digit numbers, etc.

My personal tradition is that everyone on my team wears the revolution speed helmet, and all of my impact players get a black visor.

So my question to you guys is what dynasty traditions do you have?

All of my skill positions have to have tight sleeves also wide receivers/secondary need to have gloves...all lineman have knee braces......

    Number-wise
Running backs only get to wear #s 5, 21, 34 if they are stars....
I like to give wide receivers different numbers very rarely will they have 80s

my best player on the front seven wears #56

also 5 star recruits get dark visors so they stick out and u know who is supposed to be good

      - Everyone who doesn't play on the offensive line gets tight sleeves, and RB's, WR's, TE's, LB's, and DB's have to wear gloves. All OL get knee and ankle braces.

      - Since I always play as Ohio State, I make sure no one wears one of our retired numbers.

      - All of my players have to have medium height socks. Except when it gets later in the season and I give a select few high socks with ankle braces, then wear white socks because it looks the best.

      - My kicker has to have high socks, and the revo kicker helmet.

      - With every recruiting class I bring in, they all have to wear revo speed helmets, meaning that when the players from the default roster graduate, everyone will be wearing them.

      - I always start all of my seniors on senior day. They get to play the first drive of the game (Offense and defense) before I put my starters in.

      - I usually give some of my stud skill position players a single long white sleeve because it looks cool lol.

      - That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

When I play with Ole Miss, I award my top defensive Senior with wearing #38...the Chucky Mullins Award Winner. Trying to make it as real as possible.

Starting QB always wears #5, in honor of a close friend in HS who was shot

Everyone wears either Vapor Jet or Super Bad gloves

          Everyone uses Standard helmets

Offensive and Defensive linemen have knee braces and ankle braces

No offensive linemen are incredibly fat(if only because it looks stupid)

Other than that, I just change things so it looks clean and professional, and symmetrical.

                Re: Dynasty Traditions

Each couple of off-seasons I randomly cut a guy or two to reflect actual players sometimes leaving to pursue academics (if I remember he was Most for academics I usually keep an eye on that guy and release him after his Jr. year) or cut to perhaps reflect some off-field shenanigans. I cut four defensive starters a few years ago before their senior year, I remember they all seemed like bad eggs during recruiting (the "My dog doesn't think I should sign yet" crowd). I also house rules in recruiting limitations now and again.

With the ability to edit other team's players, I have started randomly selecting freshmen to be "break-out" players. The last few seasons I've boosted the worst player in the league. I also randomly edit down players, too.

If a player on my team ends the season on IR and it was a serious injury, I usually cut him and call it career-ending. I may just put a knee brace on him and slow him down now that we can edit players, however.

As far as traditions go, I always wear my all red alternates (teambuilder team) with the red helmet for homecoming. We also wear red helmets for the SEC championship games b/c our white helmets look like garbage in the dome.

My SS usually wears the big neck roll in honour of my DC, Chuck Cecil.

I usually keep Canada as a pipeline.

Impact QBs get #3, RBs get #44, WR's get #17, and TEs get #88

My best DL gets #99, best LB gets #54, and the best DB gets #2

outside of that, if I get an extremely fast QB he gets #7 and a dark visor instead of #3

                            Re: Dynasty Traditions

I loved this thread last year and glad to see it started again
One tradition I have is kind of like the OP's with visors.

I give all preseason all americans a clear visor with the corresponding brand of the team I'm using.

The only other way a player can earn a visor is if he is a National Player of the week.

At the end of the season a player that is an All American then gains a visor or if he already has one it becomes dark

The majority of the players in my Dynasties go without visors their whole careers but there are some that gain clear ones and even fewer that gain dark visors.

The last rule I have when it comes to visors and I have only done this once since I implemented this rule in NCAA 09 when clear visors were added. It goes as follows:

If a player has a dark visor already and becomes an All American at the end of a second season the player then gains a Dark Oakley Visor. As I said this has only happened once and it was a recruit I had in an online Dynasty in NCAA 10 who played Cornerback.
