Sorry if its already been asked but have a question about online franchise

So I know that the developers have confirmed that the online franchise in 12 hasn't been given any of the major updates offline has been given HOWEVER considering that they've also stated that the game will ship with expanded rosters(the game will be initially coded to allow for more then 53 men on a roster at a time) does that mean that online franchise will at the very least include a functional IR system?ex: being able to add free agents to replace players who have been placed on the IR list?

Again sorry if it's been answered already but I haven't personally read anything about this specifically.

Doubtful.. The way I read and understood it is not one change has been added to OF.. What we got last year is what we get this year..

Agreed.

Numbers were extremely low for Online Franchise as opposed to the massive amounts of games of Online Ranked and Offline Franchise games. Considering that there were issues with all three modes, EA decided it could not do everything that needed to be done with Online Franchise in this development cycle.

That doesn't mean there was no one working on it - it might need 2 years of development to be ready for prime time. But it does mean that any changes will have to wait at least until Madden 13. That said, considering what I've seen in the demo - fans might not be as upset as they were when they discovered Online Franchise would remain the same.

Hopefully those folks can find something elsewhere in the game to enjoy while waiting for Online Franchise to improve.

i am fine with them taking a full cycle to give online franchise the proper implementation it deserves, so its not half arsed and works seamlessly. all we can hope for this year is that DPP will still play a part in player progression as well as randomized rookie draft classes.

numbers suck because the online franchise sucks. it's pathetically under developed. they could at least be adding a feature every year. like some kind of stupified contract system.

i just have one quick question for anyone who knows .....Will we be able to to see the presentation intros etc in online franchise? Just asking cause that would make it more realistic

Why spend the time to add a feature every year when the goal is to tear ir down and make it the same as offline franchise.

I bought the game every year. online franchise made it a must at 1st. than i read no contracts but they can be added in a patch later. not happen. than the next year came and it's the exact same thing.

they need to quit dipping their toes in and jump in. They know the feature is gonna be a great addition and should treat it as such. not a 5 year building block to do nothing with and than add all theses things at once and have 2/3rd's not work because they're incorporating everything at once and can't test things at a slow turtle pace!

if they want it to be like the offline franchise. THAN THROW US A COOKIE. this is disgusting and disheartening that they are slow playing the heck out of it because it's the only nfl license in town.

Madden 12:They don't do groundbreaking. why should they?

you can't tell me they can't work contracts into madden online franchise. All the stuff that they have in NCAA, and madden can't even do contracts? Wish the NFL license was in competent hands, not just the biggest wallet

They can but why do it when the goal is to tear it all out and rebuild i5 from scratch to match offline franchise? They wouldn't have to add "just contracts", they would have to add free agency with that, a resign structure, bidding process, cap penalties, a way for commissioners to clear cap penalties for each team individually, a way to sign picks... Need I go on? Not enough development time for one cycle. Offline franchise upgrades have been being built for about 18 months which would put it around halfway through Madden 10 season. With the addition of the 2nd team i completely EXPECT it to be in Madden 13.
