    Question for OD Commish's

Just started an Online Dynasty with 8 members.. Some friends and some friends of friends.

My question is what type of penalties are you guys using for restarts?.. and how do you justify a legitimate restart? (i.e. connection lost, power out)

It doesn't appear that the commish has much power besides autopilot.. But there is still a chance they could win anyway..

Definetly something to consider for '13.. Commish powers.. scholly reductions, bowl bans..

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Any help is appreciated.

    Re: Question for OD Commish's

Well my OD is run from a website. We generally get people an opportunity to present their case. This year, a number of people including myself had to restart games where the playbook glitch came up and they only had a blank play call screen. In that situation, we just asked for a picture to show the blank playbook and it was no big deal.

We have had a few games not save after completed and we generally take people's word for it there. We have a pretty trustworthy group so I don't worry about it much, but some new guys have come in and had some interesting restarts and we've usually just said, you need to provide proof or we can't let you play this game, you take your chances with the sim.

If it becomes a bigger issue, we just boot them and don't wait around. We have suspended players for games for things like that, or unrealistically running up the score/probably cheating on the CPU (we had a guy put up 87 and 700 yards against Boise State with Georgia, including 4 TD in the last 1:30 of the game, no idea how) and so we suspended a player for a game since we are very strict on realistic play, even vs the CPU.

I like the idea of some sort of penalty option in the game, so long as it wasn't something that could get abused, like the commish being able to edit his own players in an OD this year.

        Re: Question for OD Commish's

We have had a lot of issues with games freezing, and just recently I had someone in my dynasty who had their game start them out in coaching mode. I have the same core of online dynasty members as I have had since NCAA 09 so it is not something that I worry too much about.
If someone new joins then we tend to watch for restarts and issues like that.
It sounds crazy but I think they need to allow the commissioner the ability to do anything, as far as pick a winner for a game so that if someone plays and wins and it freezes or doesn't upload then I could just have it sim them a win.
Or if it would let me recruit for them because in our 9 person online dynasty we all get online to do the offseason and if someone can't do it I usually recover them and do the stages for them, but if I could just do it as them it would really simplify things.

I understand people not wanting to be in a dynasty where a commissioner has too much power, but if you aren't comfortable with your commish, find a new league.
