Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
Today's the 16th, there are 31 days in August, and it takes about a week for patches to pass through the MS/Sony certification before they become available. That would mean we should here something about patch progress within the next 7-8 days to make the "before the end of the month" deadline. Of course all this hopeful, I mean we're talking a team of people who believed that this game was bug free and even said so on that stupid making of show, so I put little stock in what they say."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
Look, for everyone that thinks this patch will drop soon or even before the end of August.
We have a snippetThe patch is currently on schedule to release before the end of the month, no exact date, as of yet.
CURRENTLY ON SCHEDULE (that means at that point in time, it is/was on schedule for a release in August, that does not mean that it will. It could have been pushed back to add more in or something else, no one knows but EA and we know they don't forward information all that well to their consumers)
Now it may drop in August, it may not, we don't know until we are given some more info.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
It probably all depends on how fast it can go through the certification process(and how back-up MS/Sony may or may not be) and whether or not it has to be resubmitted for any reason. that is why no exact time range can be stated, because they don't even know.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
This is all true and is in addition to what I said above. EA never said that the patch was done. Only that it was "currently on schedule" which does not mean that it was finished in time for a "August" release.Comment

We have a snippet from Ben Haumiller(sp?)... that says nothing of 'real' use.

EA is so lucky I love college football the way I do, and for that matter, all of us do. It's like they take advantage of that fact. Or count on it. Whichever is less offensive because I do still love this game.Comment

The fact that college football may be kicking off before we can start our dynasties is... ugh. I dunno.

They do take advantage of consumers, but consumers give them the ability to. Everyone knows this but not everyone takes control of their abilities to stop it.Comment

What are you going to do when the streak of game breaking glitches for sports games continues when something big is discovered in Madden 12?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
I'm still hopeful for this week. The patch notes were released on the 2nd which most likely means that the patch itself was approved on EA's end and ready to ship for MS/Sony certification. Let's say it was hypothetically sent on the 5th. The 19th would be exactly two weeks which falls under the window that it usually takes for a patch to be certified.Comment

But yes, hypothetically if it was submitted at or right around the notes release then it would be coming out soon.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
I doubt that EA is still working on the patch. I don't think they would have released patch notes detailing specific changes if they hadn't been solved already. There's no need for them to shoot themselves in the foot more than they have already.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 Details
You may not be aware, but EA received 1000's of complaints (phone, email, etc) and finally gave in and released a statement. If it had not been for the complaints we may have not (or never) received that info from Ben at that time.
While you may doubt that they are still working on it... that still does not mean that they aren't. For they could still be working on it (I would hope that they are not) but I cannot say one way or another and neither could you.Comment
