NHL 12 Official Soundtrack Revealed

EA unveiled the official soundtrack for NHL 12 today. The team is including many songs you would hear at various arenas, and tying those selections together with popular or soon to be released tracks.

• Beady Eye – Standing on the Edge of the Noise (Different Gear, Still Speeding)
  
• Billy Idol – Mony Mony (The Very Best of Billy Idol)
  
• Black Tide – That Fire (Post Mortem)
  
• Blackguard – Farewell (Firefight)
  
• Bush – Sound of Winter (The Sea of Memories)
  
• Death Letters – I Wish I could Steal a Sunset (Post-Historic)
  
• Dropkick Murphys – Hang ‘em High (Going out in Style)
  
• ELO – Don’t Bring Me Down (Mr. Blue Sky: The Very Best of ELO)

I'm wondering what people would say if Guitar Hero marketing dept was putting video of the gameplay without revealing the soundtrack of the game with only 27 days before release.

I've never heard of Middle Class Rut(or any of the songs on this list, but I listened to all and I just can't picture myself playing nhl 12 and having that song playing).

Manchester Orchestra I liked their song for MLB 11, just didn't like this one.

Didn't Brutal Legend, another EA game, have like 100 songs from 70 bands or something?

Oh well, thankfully we have custom soundtracks, and I don't have to listen to any of this EA Trax nonsense.

No, heard it in the Entertainment Forums here. They have it playing on their website or whatever. Killer track, though I'm not fond of Belladonna being back. Even if it was the best years for the group.

I don't either.. I know we can import music, but the default ST should have at least double of what it has.

probably because of the reason you just mentioned. EA knows that 100% of the hardcore players that will be putting countless hours into this game will use their own custom tracks anyway. the casual players most likely wont care since they'll be done w/ the game after a few weeks or so only playing sporadically during the hockey season, if that.
