I have never had much fun playing as anything other than an outfield or a closer. the infield gets very stale after only a couple games. at least in the outfield you have the chance to throw some runners out trying to tag up or take that extra base.

I also had a lot of fun a Left Fielder, and second baseman. The fielding is pretty fun, although I do kind of hate that when you do batting and fielding plays only, you know if you are in the field, the ball is coming your way. Better to play all fielding and only your batting. Just takes longer.

It is fun hitting a game winning HR, or stealing bases. I always made it a goal to be a 40-40 player, best I got was 23 hr and 19 Stolen Bases.

When you make it to the Bigs as a closer, do you always start off the 9th or do get some 4 and 5 out saves?

For me SS/2B, LF (throwing out runners), and CF are the most fun.

I love being a starting pitcher, although I have experimented with right and left fielders. I've had much more success with pitching than as a fielder however. This year I might try a closer though.

Does adjusting the CPU's sliders in RTTS make any difference as far as their offensive ability? I had been getting very high scores so I lowered the CPU's contact, power and solid hits by two clicks. Since then I've played 5-10 games and the scores are MUCH better. Maybe it is just a placebo but whatever it is I'm having a much better experience overall. Does anyone know for sure whether changing the CPU's sliders makes any difference in this game mode?

My LF is on fire right now, during a three game series with the Twins, that started with us down by 2 games, I hit four homeruns with 10 RBIs and we swept them. Just great. Now have 49 homeruns.

Well, 2012 is finished and the Indians made it into the playoffs, beating the White Sox by one game. We only won 88 games, which was the worst out of all the playoff teams and now we have to face the Yankees who won 101 games. Our offense is great, but pitching is awful.

                    2012 Stats - .368, 59 HR, 169 RBI, 202 Hits, 9 Outfield Errors.
Led the MLB in AVG, HR, RBI, Runs, OPS, Slugging Percentage.

Finished first in AL MVP, Silver Slugger and Hank Aaron Award.

                    2011 States - .345, 59 HR, 146 RBI, 184 Hits
Won MVP, World Series MVP, Silver Slugger and Hank Aaron Award

                    So far so good.

What are the main differences between 2010 Road to the Show than 2009?

I played this in 2009 version and it was fun for a while but didn't play in MLB 10. My '09 player would probably go down as the greatest of all time. I played 7 years every game[2 in the minors then 5 on the MLB club,ChiSox]. Averages for those 5 years were .363BA, .395OB, 200+hits, 35HR, 111RBI. I couldn't get a walk to save the life of me, but that's just b/c i'm impatient. Then i simulated to see how long my guy would play, he played 23 years had over 900HR, 2800RBI and in his 23rd season he hit 50HR with 195RBI and that's when i thought the simulation was waaaaaay too unrealistic. That made me back away from RTS but maybe 2011 will be different?

Currently find myself stuck in a very, very poor Astros team. It's only my 3rd season of RTTS but I found myself called up to the Astros late in my 2nd season despite only batting just under .300 in AAA. Finished off that season with a batting average of .273 but the team and myself have become far worse at the start of the 2012 season.

The team has the terrible record of 4-13 while I struggle batting at only .224 with 4 RBI's and 2 HR's.

It looks like it will be a long season and all I can hope for at the moment is a trade to another club while just trying to improve my own performances without worrying about the performance of the rest of the team.

I really hate how the game plays sometimes. I really want out of Cleveland, they aren't going anywhere and management is stupid and won't get pitching. Anyway, I am trying to get traded but they won't do it. I got demoted to AAA and now am stuck there because some average LF is doing decent. I am two time MVP and the best LF in the game, why in the world am I in AAA. If Pujols makes a fuss, he doesn't go to AAA. Sometimes this is really irritating. Having got demoted to AAA, I really don't care anymore. Those back to back MVP seasons seem like they don't even matter. Plus the fact that I want to play infield and have asked to do so numerous times, but I am sure handed in left, despite the fact I a made nine errors and the manager wants me to constantly upgrade my fielding.....right.

Man, I feel ya there. I'm now in the 2015 season with my Astros starting pitcher and about the only way I get a win is if I pitch a shutout. I lost count of how many games in 2014 I gave up 3 runs or less and still lost. I finished with a 6-18 record but an ERA under 4. We lost so many games 2-1, 2-0, 1-0, etc. The only real 2010 Astros that are still on the team in 2015 are Hunter Pence, Pedro Feliz, and Cory Sullivan. Oh, and Wandy Rodriguez who is in the bullpen for some reason.

We've been in last place every season, and the 2014 team came close to setting the record for worst record ever I think. In 2015, it's still May, and I think we're already 20 or more games out of first. At the end of last year, they offered me a 7-year deal and I turned it down because as soon as I'm a free agent, I'm so outta here.

In my 4th season with my RTTS CF... One thing I'm noticing is that I get plunked quite a bit. Through my first three seasons, I've been dotted a total of 25 times. Started off with the Brewers, then got traded to the Rangers. Made the 2013 opening day roster. After hitting .374 in 2011 and .375 in 2012. Career highs in AB, H, 2B, 3B, HR, and RBI last year with Oklahoma City.
