Let me get this straight right now:

We do not "protect" developers. We treat them as users: you personally attack them, you are banned.

Like many people in this thread who are edging closer and closer to a line they they truly do not want to cross.

Stop the whining and get back to constructive conversation, or bans will begin to be handed out.

I can appreciate your concern, but please remember that this is a forum, where exchanges of ideas, discussion, and yes PR hype for an upcoming product does happen. I think the OS management is doing a pretty damn good job pursuing more discussion with both the game developers and the consumers. It might seem at times that the hard questions aren't being asked in an interview, but that's human nature. If there's one thing we've all learned as football consumers, it's that you don't kill the golden goose (NFL?)

I guess I'm just a little more light hearted, even though at times I want to tear my controller to bits because of ridiculous game play. At the end of the day, it's a game, a leisure activity.

That was a lot sooner than this years but at the same time the bugs are a bit worse this year. I don't remember if they had the same release time either.

I got yellow carded, yet nothing happened to Ian Cummings. I feel if it were a regular name, they would have at least been yellow carded also. His post, was posted quoting myself.

Oh, I support the site, that's why my name is blue. I think I've donated twice. I'd still wear my t-shirt if it didn't shrink. I was just having a running thought about some of its approaches in light of the interview, but I'll not be sharing those anymore.

I ended my earlier post with humor and acknowledged that I really do like this game, so that's where I'll end this one. It hasn't left the spinner since release day and won't for a while, despite the issues that have been noted here and elsewhere. It is by far the best EA game I've played in a long time. Here's to hoping the patch and a tuner set put the final coat on shortly. When those do come the game will be a 9.5 for me, and I'm good with that.

You made an asenine comment regarding the job of another human being. And followed it later with another off color comment.

He was pointing out, rightfully so, the comment you should have gotten carded for.

First time for everything . . . I agree 100%. It's become very clear from the EA football games I've played extensively (M10, M11, and NCAA12) that getting the game on release day means you're spending your money on an incomplete/faulty product and that you're setting yourself up for frustration in trying to play through the bugs. These games only become what they should be about 2 months after they're released.

My future EA purchases will be around October for NCAA and Christmas for Madden. By October the patches and tuners are out and good rosters are up--playing NCAA without those things set is just not as fun. By Christmas Madden has 2 patches and enough roster updates to start franchises with the new rising stars having good ratings boosts.

That said, I do happen to enjoy the game despite its warts. I only play offline and I've been lucky not to have too many issues with freezing. I've just had to take a zen approach, fold my legs and meditate before my games, and rub a jade buddha between quarters. It's working so far so I'm gonna ride it out.

Exactly, as to holding off getting the game(s) until Nov. & Dec.! I Stated the same back May/June. I said the only way one should get the games on release day should be based on getting a deal.
I did for NCAA & I am getting a deal on Madden. I know i'll have to wait until the patches and tuner sets are out to really play the game.
