Sweet. I'm definitely going to have to work on unlocking Yzerman, Howe and Chelios to get them on my Be a GM Red Wings team!

Even though his prime years were with Chicago, Chelios did spend a much time with the Wings as he did with the Hawks and won a Cup with them so got to have him on there too

Videos from Gretzky is cool too.

Wonder if you can use these guys in Be a Pro mode? Would be cool to start out on the Pete's with Yzerman and work him onto the Wings roster. hehe.

I am tempted to put Gretzky back with the Oil in my BEAGM.

Kinda throws realism out the door...but it would be kinda neat to see how he does. I'm most likely going to use the Jets or a North Stars custom team. [if possible] Maybe I better go with the Jets. With them stuck in the East, I won't have to deal with "The Great one" very often.

I am tempted to put Gretzky back with the Oil in my BEAGM.

Not sure what attributes they will give him but I doubt he will dominate like he did in real life if he is on a team you are not controlling I'm sure he will be in the top scoring every season with simulated games. If Be a GM makes you pay top dollar for having them I don't think it will throw off realism to much, other than the fact you have a player thats not really playing in the NHL now playing for you.

It says you can use them in the Be a Pro mode too on EA's website so mostly I just want to have Yzerman come in as a rookie and see if I can be as good with him as he really was

I can't wait for this to totally change the way I play the game..............

They never claimed that the huge announcement "will change the way you play the game". They said that about the new sim engine.

I believe this was said well after the sim engine was announced, but I could be wrong, but if that was the case then EA should have said so, they read these boards!
Hmmm... still not seeing the big deal about legends... every player in their game played like a legend anyway from 1st liners down to 4th line guys. Only difference now is there names and faces are in.

Good to know because I myself was wondering what that statement had to do with the inclusion of legends as well. At any rate, even though I would have preferred to see a few other choices over the guys they went with, (and I'm sure money and/or interests from players themselves play heavily into who was/was not added) for me at the end of the day being a BAGM player above everything, if the sim engine is indeed that good, and the CPU logic is better (though with seeing tough guys on PK lines still I still have doubts) I'll more than likely be satisfied overall with this years version.

Now blow out the presentation next year EA to NBA2k levels (and I hate basketball to begin with) and I'll be a extremely satisfied customer.

Ok, thanks. I thought it was in reference to the "Big Anouncement". Still not seeing how the sim engine effects any other mode other than BaGM. Oh well water under the bridge. Back on topic... Legends ROCK!!!!

I've picked up my NBA 2K11 game and fell in love with the presentation and layout of the game again. Like you say, EA needs to have something equivalent to the NHL game.

For me, if the AI is solid, and by that I mean no more dumb thing like "pinning" themselves without pressure, and EA works on the presentation to make it like watching a hockey game offline (online, that's another case) then NHL 13 might be the best game ever made.

The hockey game offline is almost there for me, there's just a need in the priorities to make AI and presentation better instead of working on adding modes after modes to the offer.
