The real reason sooo many people are finally coming out with anger towards this is because of a couple simple facts.

People settle for EA football because it is the most current football game out there. While it might not be the best at simulation the real game, it is the most current with updated rosters, new lighting, new graphics, etc etc. While it lags behind from other stellar franchises, it is still the only football games in town.

Now people have been ok with "making do" because at least the game worked. Then this year hit and the game is broken on a technical level for many many people. So now these "settling people" are now getting a broken product. Which as you can see equals to some highly pissed off long time fans of the series!

This is one post I don't understand. The attitude that if you don't like something you should just shut up and let what you consider to be failings continue...If everyone followed that logic we would not have Coaching Carousel now when it has been demanded for years, the EA team would not know about numerous bugs that have been reported by the community over the years, and so on. Feedback is actually helpful for a company, good or bad, so they know what they can do to attract more customers in the future and retain the ones they already have. Of course though it is up to the individual company whether or not they listen.

first things first, this game did NOT need to be released as early as it did with the new features that went into it you knew it was going to be an issue. on top of that, they didnt test the game at all! and if they can 'honestly' say they did then they should be fired. the very first game i played on heisman, the CPU tried a 64 yard field goal in the first quarter, thats pretty hard to look past if you ask me. looks like they worked more on the start menu than the actual game itself! this game is an **** fail. they couldve made it so much easier for themselves and for us if they released the game per usual at the end of july/beginning of august. i believe you will see more people hold off buying this game, which we have every reason to do, especially if madden lives up to the hype! good job ben haumiller, you are killing what used to be a GREAT game

I just wanted to be a stand out OC, that's all. Is that to much to ask for? I had dreams of turning the Wild Cat into a more formal system integrating the spread and no huddle into a crazy No Spread Cat offense that defenses couldn't handle.

I guess if I would have known the patch would have taken this long I would have just deleted the named rosters and lived with the glitches. Now, I've gone to far. I already drank the koolaid. I can't turn back now.

Why would releasing it before Madden affect sales? If the patch doesn't work like it should people won't buy Madden?

They will wait until after Madden comes out so EA racks in all the money from people who will say "**** this, I'm sick of waiting for a patch, might as well buy Madden." Makes perfect sense to me.

Basically if the patch is to come out after Madden, some causal impatient gamers who are jonesing for football will get Madden and leave NCAA in the dust or trade it in for Madden.

While, if the patch was to come out before Madden, then they would probably give NCAA another shot and if the patch makes NCAA play good (which is what we are all hoping for) than they may end up not getting Madden for many reasons (money, don't need two football games, etc).

the release of Madden should have no bearing on the release date of the patch.

Why in your right mind would you buy another football game on its release date from EA when the first one that came out is broken and tattered? No way I'm spending 60 more bucks on a game that could be just as broken. You all shouldve learned this lesson the first time.

Ima tell you right now, the patch will fix eveyrthing mentioned, but create 3 more problems. I'm not saying this to be a debbie downer, but its kind of just how these things seem to work.
