Cap Online Be a Pro stats at 90??

This would prevent players from being able to stick handle through anything with 99 puck control, cheeser wrist shots at 99 power, cant knock the player down due to 99 balance and 99 strength, the 99 passing and 99 hand eye one-timers....

It would go such a long way to providing a more NHL like game and wouldnt have as big an impact for those players who choose to boost.

Simple- don't allow people to boost.
    NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
    NCAAF: Ohio State
    NFL: Minnesota Vikings
    MLB: Chicago Cubs

the attributes don't do enough for it to be a big deal. can you really tell the difference between 90 and 99 if you didn't know what you set it at? or decipher if the guy who just shot the puck had 90 or 99 accuracy? one thing they should do though is scrap the puck control attribute. it's essentially a forcefield effect against defensive moves and just leads to inconsistent gameplay and frustration.

Yeah they have been great at this..... There has been a boost in every game since '09 because of where they store our players data.... Just wait a couple of months or weeks even till the newest one is leaked

I can tell in certain categories like the ones i mentioned... not accuracy, I once went bar down from 15ft with a DFD at 70 accuracy for the game winner. I played with 99 strength for a long time and switched recently to 96 strength, it made a huge difference. Same with balance big difference between 95 and 99. Agility/Speed/Acceleration however doesnt matter. Puck control is also the radius around your player that picks up loose pucks

This is wrong. See in my club I played LW and I finally decided to make a quick scorer and made him 5 foot 7 at 160 lbs with 98 speed 99 endurance and 90 accel. and trust me there is a HUGE difference

I don't agree. I play online with a Grinder who is base for acceleration and speed while at 63 for agility. My friends always tell me how the fact I'm just able to follow everyone on the ice with that sp/acc/agi is discouraging.

If you don't run all over the place, stick to your position and place yourself where you should be, than there's no need for that much sp/acc/agi. Since my endurance is at 98, I can hustle all game long if needed too.

The problem online is the fact that we can boost, the fact that there's way to go over the original boost, and finally, the fact that there's some attributes that affect other attributes and we have to figure out since EA aren't able to explain the links to us.

And I agree with the person who said that it will take 1 month and we'll know how to mod the cards and exploit another hole to make our BaP online more than what it should be. Been the case since NHL 09 and until proven, I don't expect NHL 12 to be any different.

Basically there should be a cap to each attribute for each type of player. E.g. A Patrick Kane type playmaker. Fairly small, but really good puck skills. In order to get a 99 rating, you will need to have high passing, puckhandling etc(whatever a playmaker needs) but based on his height and weight, his strength should have a cap of about 70 or so. Basically to improve your rating faster, you will need to up attributes that affect your type of player.

Would absolutely love to see boosts gone. They took a step in NHL11 by not having the ridiculous looking equipment.

The more logical way of doing this is to make physical attributes like fifa. As you reach certain heights and weight in fifa your strength, jumping, and balance go up. While your speed, agility, and acceleration go down. So you do that so maybe a 6'3" power forward starts at 65 speed but 75 balance, where as a 5'10" playmaker starts with 75 speed but 65 balance.

The best way to fix attributes is to get rid of the boosts (never going to happen). The boosts may only be 5 points but that 5 points can be a monumental increase when you consider the cost of xp. For example with a TWF I think checking starts to cost 100xp per point so using a +5 checking boost gets you to 99 from 94 where it would cost you over 500xp to do so. Most people use boosts on the most expensive attributes and then use the cheaper xp to build their super players, without the boosts this wouldn't be possible.

No, getting rid of silly equipment was done purely to sell more boosts. there were plenty of people that didn't want to look like a clown, but still wanted boosts.

Boost = Money for EA. They are well aware of this, but like I said in another post, since I've figure that people are asking one friend to unlock everything by playing games offline, then mod the card for friends (XBOX), I'm done making a fool of myself and paying for boost.

Also, with that many boost you don't know if it's usefull, why should we buy them? Would anyone buy tires for their car if we don't know for sure it was usefull? Not sure about that!
