NCAA 12 and how it will be affected by Maddens release

I see the update and Madden as potential fan base changer. If people don't see the fixes they feel are needed then I see them possibly making the jump to Madden or another game all together

I wasn't going to buy Madden this year but after playing the demo a little more and reading online I've decided I'm going to get it. I'm in season 2 of my NCAA UGA dynasty but once I get Madden I think I will mostly sim the seasons for draft classes.

I always thought College had more things to do with recruting and all that but with the changes made to Maddens franchise mode I am looking forward to giving madden a shot this year for the first time wsa tsince I think 09 was the last madden I bought.

Are you guys going to convert madden?

Not right away. I don't trust EA right now and will wait a couple weeks to see if Madden needs a patch or not. This entire EA/NCAA 12 patch issue is pushing all my games back awhile. Can't get COD right away as I'll just be getting Madden. Can't dive into Forza as I'll be on COD and Madden as well as finishing up NCAA 12.

I really want to play Madden, but I haven't even played NCAA 12 yet so my purchase will be delayed till I get my fill, whenever that is.
I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Packs of wild dogs that have taken over most of the major cities.

H*** no... I am not even considering it until they release the patch. This release is a joke. I haven't been able to start my dynasty and my game has recently started freezing with named rosters.

These guys at EA Sports are scrubs in comparison to the great game development companies like Turn 10 or even Microsoft. Their legacy is simply a self given claim to success by elimination of their competition.

The Fight Night Fiasco, NCAA last year, and the garbage this year all tell me this is not a company capable of learning from its mistakes or even a company with a desire to be better. They are comfortable with piss poor, half *** performance year in and year out.

      Yeah,

      I am pissed... sorry

You have every right to be, especially considering the amount of work you put in for this franchise offline with your stadium sounds. If they let the talented gamers on here come in and help them, we'd have a patch by now. Shoot, we wouldn't need a patch.

They should contact some of the best gamers on this site to test their games instead of who they currently have. We'd all be much more satisfied customers.

I could be a conspiracy theorist, but I wouldn't doubt EA holding out on a patch for NCAA in hopes that NCAA owners waiting on the patch to continue playing the game would be more inclined to purchase the season pass.

I actually wouldn't doubt this theory at all. If I didn't own NCAA I probably would buy the season pass to play Madden early. I'm sure there are guys out there with less self control that will purchase the season pass that own NCAA because it is unplayable for most right now.

Sad to say that this overdue patch issue for NCAA 12 has convinced me to cancel my pre-order for Madden 12 this morning.

If they would write the code properly and test the game thoroughly, this conversation would be completely unnecessary. This is not the first year or even second year we have been through this.

It is the THIRD year! The third year they released a half-*** product. Let me recap! 2010: broken sliders and rosters, 2011: broken zone defense, uniform and field degradation, and the notorious pump fake glitch. 2012: where do I even begin?

All under the leadership of the same guy.

I usually trade NCAA in for Madden every year. But I haven't even played dynasty mode yet because of the bugs. So I will probably keep NCAA and wait on Madden until I get that uncontrollable urge to play it.

Also I really want to see how NCAA is gonna be after the patch.

I bought madden on amazon form the 20.00 credit. But I have no plans to play it right away the demo was awful. And I'm sure it will have tons of problems like NCAA on release date.

Re: NCAA 12 and how it will be affected by Maddens release

I've never been a fan of Madden or any of EA's other games for that matter. (That's a lie. I do buy the NHL game every few years.) I like the NFL and all but I just love NCAA football. I haven't played an NFL game since NFL 2k5.

I'm still having fun with NCAA 12 but I am also extremely frustrated as well. I've only been a member of this site for a short while now and maybe that's the reason I'm so aware of all the shortcomings in this game but I don't ever remember this many things being unfinished.

To answer your question. NO. EA will not being getting any more of my money for awhile.

After playing the (Madden) demo (which IMO looks horrible), and problems with previous titles, this will be the first time I do not buy madden on release day since 97. Probably the last time I purchase NCAA football as well. EA Sports has definitely lost my trust.

The game didn't ship with the pump fake glitch. That was added after either a patch or maybe a tuner update.

Just because NCAA has bugs and flaws doesn't mean Madden is the cure all? I don't get your logic? The game isn't the problem, it's the programming. So, why should I dump this game and run out and buy Madden with the assumption it's better? If you enjoy NFL over College then I can see a point to your question, but you seem to think many of us are going to rush and buy Madden because it will be flawless? Sorry, I guess I don't understand your thought process.

I disagree. I think it depends what is wrong with NCAA compared to Madden. Madden wouldn't have a named tendency glitch. Could have an edit glitch but we at least would have the names.

Madden wouldn't have a conference realignment issue, obviously since they do not have it.

Madden doesn't have stadium sounds which is supposedly clauses some of the freezing issues.

Will Madden be flawless? Of course not, it might have new issues or maybe it won't. but i don't think its fair to state the same issues to a large degree will be in both since they are not core gameplay issues, so don't be reasonably optimistic and go try Madden.

As for myself, i am trying to restrain myself from getting madden on opening day. Not because i am big on Madden, but because i am big on football and returned NCAA due to the issues i felt where overwhelming for my enjoyment. In October and November are tons of games i want, i just need to weather the wanting a new game Jones at least until you guys flesh out the problems.

Your point is well taken. I like NCAA12 but I am still amazed at some glaring issues and Items that still are lacking from the prior consoles. It seems the devs are more intrested in showing off new "glitter" instead of addressing the purist players concerns. We need competition.. the free enterprise is what this country was built on and a monopoly industry doesn't promote incentives.
