2k has spoiled us in the graphics department. We sound so whiny when we nitpick someone's face
Live has spoiled most of the posters with the assortment of shoes they usually have in their game.
I'm not knocking anyone's love for shoes or faces, but we still have to remember at the end of the day, no matter how awesome a game looks, if it plays like ****(which it does not appear to thank god :3) it's not going to matter because no one will buy it.
You'll just have to settle for close enough (Especially considering the daunting task of getting every single shoe in existence along with the monumental task they set for themselves by including "past" players as well. It was just never possible from the get go. But, at least they're trying to appease you sneaker fans and you have to respect that). You don't have to like what they have in the game, but respect the fact that they are genuinely trying (and succeding in some areas).Last edited by DukeC; 08-24-2011, 03:27 PM.Comment

I wouldn't call some stars in 2k not looking like themselves and complaining about it whiny. They needed to improve some faces and that is an expectation we should have as 2k markets themselves on details. Most people who sweat these details are 2k's biggest fans....Still looking forward to it...2k has spoiled us in the graphics department. We sound so whiny when we nitpick someone's face

Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Perhaps I should not have used faces. I can understand the complaint about faces. It's not Madden where you can get away with not detailing everything since they wear helmets, but basketball (and it's players) are a more recognizable sport.I wouldn't call some stars in 2k not looking like themselves and complaining about it whiny. I just don't see how complaining about the shoes is going to make the slightest bit difference, mostly because people prefer gameplay, but wouldn't mind the game being pretty to boot (I'm one of those, so I'm majorly biased
). and the fact that thier are literally thousands of shoes(from different era's now) that should rightfully be in the game. No one is going to put that much time in getting the shoes right when only about 200-300 (hundreds, maybe thousands) out of your 200-300 million fanbase is actually going to appreciate it.
It would be simpler if they just added in a shoe editor so everyone can re-create the shoes missing or not available (for the consoles of course. PC's don't have this problem since they have Mods).Comment

Looks great.
I'm begging ya 2K, let the replay camera get that low! The graphics look amazing with the crowd as the main background instead of seeing 80% court floor.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12 Screenshots (8-24-11)
Arm bands and wrist bands!! Yay!!
And I think that we have low sneakers back. I think that's why we have two different short socks too. If the shoe is low, the socks seems larger, but may be the same size...
I hope we can choose high or low shoes in the player edit mode, and it's not locked to the shoe modelComment

On the plus side Rondo's hair no longer looks red.
And Derrick Rose is wearing longer knee pads like many people requested.

Ok..I got you DukeC. I'm with you on the shoes issue, but I understand it's importance to others. It would stink to see players in generics all day so having the right shoes is cool. I'm just not knowledgeable enough about them to notice if they have the wrong color schemes, etc.Perhaps I should not have used faces. I can understand the complaint about faces. hopefully they dont throw generics on so many people. Some of the new shoes look great. Hopefully the way we can edit colors is better.Comment

Love the pictures, looks like the sock glitch is gone, they got new sneakers in, amare and kd's sneaks look good. Hate the generics tho, looking forward to the game.Comment
