ESPN imagines Michael Vick as a white QB

Since the day Michael Vick was arrested, people have been asking, What if he were white? As Touré writes in ESPN The Magazine, the answer isn't what you think.

Seems like ESPN is really begging for hits these days if they had to pull a stunt like this.

I don't think the point was the artistic rendering. The main question in the article has to do how a Mikey Vick would grow up being, and would dog fight arrests be a part of his life under different colored skin.

        What. In. The. ****?!

I cannot believe they allowed this to see the light of day. What a terrible piece of writing.

Don't know if this is going to stay open because it's so much race-related, but I think the point of the article was that you can't change up the events that occurred that led to this point, you can only mold the future. Those judging Vick solely on his past are missing what's happening now; a man is reforming his life in the spotlight of the public's eye. He's turning a negative into a positive. He still has work to do, but I hope he continues on this path. Love him or hate him for what he did, at least respect him a bit for what he's doing now.

White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, I don't give a ****. If you can easily go out of your way to ****ing murder a dog, then I won't forgive you. Nor should being good at football allow you to "redeem" yourself.

ESPN is a shock value site anymore.

Agreed with all of this, but having said that, I can't believe ESPN would actually publish an article like this. This is one of those things that a guy should sit around and ponder by himself; not publish to national media.
