In what universe do named rosters cause crashes?

In the NCAA 12 universe if it is freezing in the middle of games. I started getting freezes, usually late in the game, after I downloaded the community rosters.

I took them off and went back to default, needless to say, I haven't had a freeze since.

I can't believe how little I've played this game. I think that says enough about the whole situation. I really hope this patch comes in time - and actually fixes enough of the glaring problems - to salvage some value.

I've almost given up trying to throw a damn play action pass in this game.

Super frustrating, IMMEDIATELY after you fake the handoff.... BOOM! Thrown to the ground.

I'm trying to be a ball control, running team. And that puts me at a huge disadvantage because of the broken play action passes.....

Freaking best post I've read since becoming a member here. FREAKING BRILLIANT!!!

Normally I would agree, but I can't play through the continuous freezes. Yes I played through the bugs in the "good old days", but if I had a game that froze every few games, then I would have returned it.

Everyone seems so surprised that EA has yet to release this patch. As if they have been the most reliable video game company in the past few years. Every year they release the same garbage with updated rosters and graphics. Every so often they throw in a niche new game mode which most people never look at twice. The biggest problem here is lack of competition, they have free reign to spit in our faces because they have no one to compete against. I hate to beat a dead horse but look back to NFL 2k5, probably some of the best presentation in sports game history, Madden and NCAA are still ages behind in that regard. They still don't have the level of ESPN integration that game had.

And yet we all our salivating over this patch as if the game is going to be perfect in the end. We all know deep down inside this patch will fix one thing and mess up 8 more. At least we have some saving grace with the amazing reviews Madden are getting. Oh wait never-mind, the headline of 1up's review "How Madden NFL 12 Uses You as a Beta Tester". Looks like we have more of the same to look forward to! Maybe by April we can play some football without having random freezes, crashes and linebackers that can leap tall buildings in a single bounce....

That's the most frustrating part for me as well.

If they could speed up load times between weeks and especially in the offseason, on top of everything else in this patch, I would be beyond happy with this patch.

I have to say i'm a bit surprised to come here today and find that nothing has been said concerning the patch.

Tomorrow, afterall, is tuesday, and september 1st is bringing it up the rear pretty quickly.

Should be an interesting next few days here at dear ole O/S.
