Let's face it, Gus Juhnson/Collinsworth duo sucks!!! Who do you say should be the next commentary team?


And I didn't include Madden as one cuz he's just too old to even think about doing this. It would be awesome, but not realistic.

Let's face it, it's not the commentary team at all, it's the sound technology.

Starting next year, Madden will have Fifa's sound technology.

They could put radio man Tony Bruno back in and it wouldn't sound better, or Troy Aikman and whoever he does play by play with.

If it was the best announcing team in the world, you would still put up a poll because the sound technology is terrible.

By the way, there has been another poll or thread regarding this same topic recently.

Emmitt Smith as a one man commentary crew would debacle all other commentary crews that have ever commented the game of sports in the history of the games we refer to as sports video games!

agreed matter how the script is and who does it wont make any diffrence
like the guy said above me they using fifa comentary technology but it this the 3rd thread this year before the game comes out asking for new comentary guys everyone blame them why the comentary is so bad but thats not the case

even in nfl broadcasts i don't like gus, he sounds more like a basketball commentator to me. course anything at this point would be a step up, but again if its implemented poorly it really doesn't matter.

I actually think Gus Johnson and Chris Collingsworth can make a good team, the problem is the sound tech like Roadman said previously is not there yet, and also they need to build more of a rapport between Johnson and Collingsworth like MLB 2K did with their team or NBA 2k.

The legend of Gus Johnson stems from his ability to call the big play as no one is better than Gus at doing that. However, often in Madden 11 I he would get hyped up for no reason as the commentary was poorly coded. In my opinion, there is not better analyst than Collingsworth...the guy is sharp and knows the game. If they can implement Johnson better, they sky's the limit in terms of possible future commentary.

I think it's a combination of the announcers and who ever is in charge of the audio dept for Madden. If I was Tiburon I would find out who's been in charge of the commentary for NBA2k the past couple seasons and hire them. Just my 2 pennies.....

All this talk about getting FIFA's and NHL's commentary engine, yet I've watched gameplay videos from both and I don't get what's so special. They sound average to me. Gus JOHNSON...is a PRETTY CHOPPY...broadcaster..., so I think a new duo would do wonders for making the game feel better, not to mention fresher, next year.

Brad Nessler, who does NCAA franchise, is now NFL Networks play by play guys along with Mike Mayock. You might see EA grab those two for next year and replace Nessler in NCAA with.....yup Gus Johnson, who now is mainly doing college football for FOX with their new PAC 12 deal. Just being optimistic.

This. Or something like it. Just hire two actors to do the play by play. They could spend countless hours recording lines.
