Will be starting one with the Packers soon. Thinking about moving Grant and keeping Saine, and definitely getting rid of Brett Swain (which we did in real life today).

To the original poster: Did you have to download those updated rosters? Also, what did you do at OLB? Keep either of So'oto or Lattimore?

Neither were on the roster that I downloaded on Friday night. I needed up keeping Matthews (of course), Walden, Jones, Zombo & Elmore.

You guys using default difficulty?

Something I noticed after the week 3 cuts. Teams on my fran cut players with potential. Bengals cut Mays.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The Bengals cut Mays, the Raiders cut Pryor and the Bears cut Stephen Paea, just to name a few. Hopefully, there will be a patch correcting this but, in the meantime I believe I thought of a decent good work around (although I haven't tested). I would suggest to advance past week 3 without saving and see what rookies were cut that should have stayed. Write them down. Then, exit out and go back in franchise and edit their awareness (also, write this down) so, that they won't get cut. Do the same thing in Week 4. Then, once the regular season starts, edit them back to where they were originally. Sure, it's annoying but, IMO it would be better than them sitting in the FA pool.

Green Bay traveled to Carolina to take on the Cam Newton and Panthers in Week Two. The Panthers were coming off a 28-20 Week One win against Arizona. They had been hearing all pre-season about how this was just a year to get Cam some experience and that they were a few years away from being a serious contender in the NFC South. Frankly, they were tired of hearing it and came into the season with a chip on their shoulders.

Carolina's D came up huge throughout the game and held Green Bay to only 192 yards of total offense and no TD's as the breezed their way to the 19-3 Win. Aaron Rodgers had to run for his life as the defense was in the backfield all game long. Jon Beason was a beast-son (get it? ) on D tallying 9 total tackles and 2 sacks to boot. Everette Brown also had a big day with 6 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst days of his career competing only 15 of 32 passes for 159 yards and 3 ints.

On the other side of the ball the Panthers looked good as well, thanks to huge plays from long time Panthers Steve Smith and Deangelo Williams. Smith owned Charles Woodson throughout the game. He caught 4 balls for 154 yards and 1 TD. Williams had 23 carries for 134 yards (5.8 avg) and 1 TD.

And if your wondering how Cam did... he played well too, completing 12 of 24 passes for 251 yards with 1 TD with no INTs (rating of 101.2).

Green Bay is now 0-2 and seem to have a serious case of "Super Bowl Hangover" going on. They look to bounce back at Chicago next week.

i chose the bills because


1. their uni's are effing sick!!

2. they are horrible and i like rebuilding

3. they play outside in a cold weather environment

traded and got jonathan baldwin and tori gurly. fyi his rating is only 59 but he has a 90 release and dude catches what seems like everything.

my o line is young and developing so i signed a bunch of high 80 o line guys in ufa pool to 1 year contracts. traded for taylor mays.

my team is young and needs to develop. i need to address ss and re and my ROLB spot. an upgrade at tight end would be ideal. im currently 3-2 with losses to chiefs and eagles. gabbert was out against the chiefs. i did beat the pats, raiders and bengals!


lovin it so far!! i am addicted to this game!

congrats. but if you beat the packers (highest rated team in game) and held a rod (2nd highest qb rated in game) to those numbers...and u did it with the panthers....u seriously gotta up the difficult dude...

cuz even when a rod has thrown for 3 picks in 1 game...only has happened 3 times his career. he has also thrown for 300 yards too...

I decided I am going to start my franchise when I get the retail version of the game. I am having tons of trouble picking a team though so I need your guys' help. I am going to be a doing a full on video log of my franchise on my youtube channel, so I want the team to be fun and interesting.

My top 3 teams are:

Broncos
Lions
49ers

I mainly chose those teams because they are bad, but they have young pieces I can build around.

If I did the broncos I might use tebow and try to turn them into a tough defensive team around Von Miller

Lions, seem to get interest from my subscribers but it seems too easy for them, they already have their youthful talent and all I got to do is play the games

49ers Have a new coach a rookie QB with some flexibility and basically a chance at a fresh start with a good WR core.

I am completely undecided about this guys and I could use the help

Starting my Browns franchise as we speak. In year 1 I am going to control all 32 teams so I can keep up with any moves over the next few days. It will also allow me to make trades that involve future draft picks (Browns receiving ATL 1 and 4 in 2012).

I haven't had any issues with them, you have to save them after the players leaving stage though or they won't load.

I'm using my Titans, of course. They have some playmakers, but also need a rebuild. Here's what i've done so far:

Trade #1:
Chris Hope (87), Jason McCourty (71), and a 3rd for D. Rodgers-Cromartie (85).

I was shocked this deal went through, especially because it seems to be hard to get a trade now. I (and all Titans fans) hate Chris Hope, he's horrible in coverage. Titans have Jordan Babineaux as a backup, who has better speed and coverage. Also Chris Hope is the highest paid safety (at 6.5mil) so this opened some cap room. Eagles were willing to part with DRC since he's their #3 CB, they got a starting SS and a decent #3/#4 CB. I know has a big, speedy, #2 CB to pair with Finnegan. Verner can play the nickle/dime as the #3. This makes my secondary complete, and will be looking for a SS 1st or 2nd round in the upcoming draft.

That's the only trade i've done so far, but i'm looking to trade Dave Ball with Nate Washington/Justin Gage to land a legit #2 WR.

Played one game, won it 21-13. Locker had 2 TDs/1 INT, CJ had the other TD. Britt has 1 TD, Cook with the other rec TD.

I am playing with my 49ers and I am in my first season. This rebuilding phase of my franchise is going to be tough. Played my first preseason game against the Saints and they blew me out. I am now playing the Raiders and I am blowing them out. I am not sure yet who I want to be my starting QB. Should I give Alex Smith on last time or just go ahead and start Colin Kaepernick?

Just started my Redskins franchise! The preseason is a blast so far....I like to have a really mobile QB so to start the preseason I signed Troy Smith and the UFA Jerrod Johnson out of Texas A&M...Johnson has done well so far against 3rd stringers, Jabar Gaffney has been catching everything thrown his way, but I'm most shocked by Brandon Thompson....Thompson has been showing very D.Hall like play, against the steelers he got beat deep (partly my fault when switching to him) and then on the next play Batch went his way again and he jumped the route and got the pick, and then got beat again the next drive...inconsistent but the big play ability is there! Oh and Jenkins is a monster...too bad he will be injured on the next update! Really loving this year so far

Playing a Texans franchise, Matt Schaub went down in the preseason and he will be out for the first 6 weeks of the season.

Come week 1, I got out looking for a QB and who do I sign, Jake Delhomme.

I didn't have many expectations for Jake to win us any games, but luckily we have Arian Foster.

Foster ran for 254 Yards and 2 TD's in a 21-17 week one win over The Colts. Peyton carved us up for 348 Yards and 2 TDs but their defense lost the game.

Moving on to week 2, we travel too Miami, our defense smothered them, knocked Reggie Bush out for 8 weeks and picked off Chad Henne 2 times. Arian Foster ran for 134 yards and a score, Delhomme tossed 2 TD passes and we won easy down in Miami.

Week 3 we travel to New Orleans. This was Jake Delhommes coming out party. He started hot, finding Andre Johnson for 5 passes in the first quarter. It felt good to get him involved big time finally.

They shut down our run game for the most part, holding Foster for 75 yards. That mattered none, Jake Delhomme passed for over 400 yards and 5 TDS! This was DPP at it's finest.

We won the game easily, but ultimately paid for it big time. We lost Andre Johnson to a broken collarbone and he'll be out for 10 WEEKS...

I just put Kap in from day one, Alex isnt even going to see the field for me. Might even trade him come week 6.
