    Pittsburgh Steelers (Madden 12)

Hey guys, I decided to buy Madden once again, after taking a 1 year break. Was not sure if it was worth it to post another dynasty here since it’s very time consuming but I’ll try to do my best ! Once again I’ll be taking my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yeah, I know, not the toughest team to take but hey, it is what it is and at least I’m being capable of playing a franchise longer than 1 season. Had 30 pages of stuff on my last dynasty posted here. Unfortunately, I will do quick game reviews cause my english is so so (french being my main language) and because it’s very time consuming to do and I think it might slow me down. Without further ado..

Here's my settings for this franchise

    Settings

    Platform: PS3
    Game: Madden 12 (PS3)
    Mode: Franchise @ All Pro
Game Length: 9 min quarter with acc clock (obviously...)
    Rosters: Default updated roster.
    Sliders: Default all-pro, for now.
    Penalty: Default for now.
House rule: I'm listening to the play calling of my Off.Coord.

More coming up soon. Thank you

          First half highlights:

This was the Steelers first game since losing the Superbowl against the Green Bay Packers last season.
Ben Roethlisberger was not the starting quarterback missing the game with an injury. Leftwich started the game at quarterback. The first offensive play of the game by the Ravens, Ray Rice ran for 76 yards and the touchdown. The Steelers scored their first points of the season on a field goal by Suisham. A couple of minutes later, they scored their first touchdown of the season on a fumble recovery for 42 yards by Farrior. At the half, the Steelers were leading the Ravens 10-7.

          Second half highlights:

The Ravens came back from the locker room very hungry for this victory in front of their home crownd. They took the lead on a 2 yard run by Rice, his second touchdown of the day. 14-10 Ravens at that moment. After two Ravens field goal, Hines Ward caught a pass to cut down the lead to 3 points but it was too little too late for the Steelers in this one. They lose the opener against the divisional rival Ravens and heads up home to face the Seattle Seahawks who also lost their season opener.

              First half highlights:

This was Big Ben's first game after missing out the season opener with an injury. Mendenhall opened up the score with a 4 yard run but the Seahawks quickly answered with 10 points scored off a interception return for a touchdown and a 52 yard field goal by ex-Steelers Jeff Reed who was roughly welcomed by the fans at Heinz Field. Wallace scored a touchdown late in the first quarter to give the Steelers the lead at halftime since no poinst were scored in the 2nd quarter of this game.

              Second half highlights:

The Seahawks took off in the second half of this game, kinda like the Ravens did in this first game of the Steelers season. They scored 17 points, on two Tavaris Jackson touchdown passes to Robinson and Forsett who was replacing Lynch injured during the game. Big Ben was awful in this game being picked 3 times and having a 23.6 qb rating. Disaster.

                  First half highlights:

The first quarter of this game was a festival of punts. Neither team managed to get points on the board. In the second quarter, Vinatieri scored the first points of the game with a big 51 yard field goal. Colts 3-0 at that moment. Addai increased that lead with a 5 yard touchdown run and the Colts took a 10-0 lead heading into the locker room.

                  Second half highlights:

The second half of this game was a boring one with only 3 points scored, once again by Vinatieri. The Steelers were shut down by the Colts defense and the Steelers managed to contain Manning to only 98 yards. The Steelers offense was awful today and let's hope they'll get themself going against the Texans next week.

                    First half highlights:

The Steelers played against a banged up Texans team especially at the quarterback position. Matt Schaub, Jake Delhomme, Matt Leinart were all injured and that forced the Texans to sign UFA QB Todd Bowman who is 39 years old. What hurt them even more is that, in this game, Andre Johnson, their start wide receiver, got hurt and was forced to miss the remaining of the game. Suisham kicked a field goal in the 2nd quarter and Lawrence Timmons brought a fumble back into the endzone to give his team a 10-0 lead heading to halftime.

                    Second half highlights:

The Steelers secured the win in the third quarter with another Suisham field goal, this time a 39 yard one. Derrick Ward scored the only points for the Texans. Late in the fourth quarter, he scored on a 4 yard run and thanks to him the Texans were not blanked. One team had to win this one, the Steelers did and are now 1-3 while the Texans are having an awful season start with a 0-4 record.

Only two teams remain undefeated: the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Oakland Raiders.

The Lions and the Texans are the only remaining winless teams.

It's very tough for Ben Roethlisberger to play without is starting tight end and friend Heath Miller. "Heath's been a big part of our offense for the last couple of years, of course it's tough playing without him but hey John Gilmore is a good player." said Big Ben in an interview.

Mike Tomlin saw the bright side of this injury report. "Hey, take a look at the other teams in the league. We've been fortunate to only have 3-4 guys on the injured list. So far so good, i'm keeping my fingers crossed." said the Steelers head coach.
