Thing is roadman, I can actually see Mayock wanting to do this. He's a cool guy, and he always jumps at the chance to get his voice heard. Have Mayock and Gus with the new improved commentary engine would be amazing.

I that case I'll drop my .02 in before it's closed. Why not have both? I think it's long past the time that we should have had multiple commentary teams.

Agreed on Mayock. He definitely loves himself. lol! I don't doubt one second he'd have no problem recording hours and hours of audio and even endorsing the game.

Hope that was sarcasm.

But like I said....people need to stop clamoring for new announcers until EA completely overhauls how the commentary. Even if they get the best announcers on the planet...if its the same choppy, pieced together, lame and generic comments they have now, its going to sound like crap regardless of who they get.

IMO, the problem has more to do with the the actual way EA does commentary than who they get to do it.

Commentary needs to be completely overhauled next year. It completely kills the immersion the way it is now. EA should be ashamed. (Not of the game overall...just the commentary being this bad)

If EA is serious about announcing they will hire TWO teams for announcing like FIFA is doing this year. Regional broadcasts and National Broadcasts (Primetime games, MNF).

Doesn't matter who it is. The way EA implements the audio into the game will make anyone sound awful. It's not Gus's, Hammond's, and/or Michaels fault. It's EA's poor implementation

Year after year, Madden has hands down the worst audio and play by play of any sports game on the market.

That is due to EA's sound engine has nothing to do with Gus himself. You should watch Gus this NCAA season or on Sundays when he's on there. He's awesome and adds a ton of excitement to each game. During the nfl season last year I would set my dvr just to record games he was announcing.

Just FYI, Madden IS gettting a new sound engine for Madden 13, they already bought it but it wasn't implemented into Madden 12 obviously. They are taking two years, Madden 12 development cycle and Madden 13 development cycle to implement this into Madden 13. That is what they did with the visual presentation for Madden 12. They started working on it in Madden 11 development and finished it during Madden 12 development. I don't expect them to get rid of Gus and even if they keep Cris it will be a whole lot better with all new lines and a new engine driving play by play. Madden's going to have the same engine FIFA 12 is going to have.
