Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
I started a Franchise with the Redskins, and the first two regular season games it was raining. I simmed up to the 8th game, and some good news. Out of the other four outdoor games (including home), the only one with rain was Carolina. I'm hoping that it was just the first two games of the season that were the issue. I do think, they should just let you choose the weather conditions. Seems like it would just be a lot easier all around. One thing though, if there is a "rain" bug where it rains outdoors at least 75-80% of the time, EA HAS TO PATCH IT. That is a franchise game KILLER.Comment

Raining every game in franchise on ps3
Why does it rain every single game on here? Is it me or are they going overboard with the rain in September on this game??
Is this a bug, can I fix it? Someone please help me with this. How are we in 2012 and EA can't get some simple damn things right????

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
You're right, they haven't, but delaying the game by 2 weeks still delays the time we get a "fixed" game by 2 weeks. I mentioned this in the other thread, I think it's bad for the series. People get really hyped up for the start of football season and if they're playing a game that needs to patched, that's going to hurt their desire to play the game; especially if it's not patched until mid-October. Just my opinion on the later release date.Twitter: @Palo50

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
After PMing Midgeotto (who's doing some cool franchise write-ups in the other thread) and checking out the game myself, I've realized that the rain is tied to the specific team you pick in franchise mode.
So, for example, Midgeotto plays with the Chargers and doesn't get the rain bug. I play with the Browns, and get it at every home game. I then went and played an away game (with the Browns) at San Fran--and it was beautiful and sunny.
One thing I'm wondering about is if you relocate a team to a different city, does the rain bug still follow you around? Not sure...
Either way, this sucks and is completely ridiculous. Sunny days looks infinitely better than this consistent rain garbage.Comment

Yeah, every game I played in Cleveland was raining. It was only 2 games, but stillAfter PMing Midgeotto (who's doing some cool franchise write-ups in the other thread) and checking out the game myself, I've realized that the rain is tied to the specific team you pick in franchise mode.

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
Some good news: I checked the weather in my Browns franchise, and it seems that starting sometime in November, it stops raining. Whether I was playing in Cleveland or elsewhere, the sun was shining bright (except for 1 rain game at night).
So this could be a bug that just affects the first half of games played in franchise.Last edited by PacMan3000; 08-31-2011, 07:41 PM.Comment

Jillian Barbarie with the Weather...
Last night, I simmed thru three seasons, using the Raiders, Browns, and Redskins. And Checked the weather for each home game. Here's what I found.
There is a definite pattern.
All of your preseason home games will have rain.
Your first two regular season games will have rain.
Then two consecutive home games will be sunny.
Then alternating each remaining home game; Rain, Sun, Rain Sun.
Now, this means HOME GAMES, not whole weeks. If the browns play at home in week one, it will be raining. The Redskins open on the road, but come home in week two, THEY will have their first rain. So you get a bit of a staggered pattern depending on their schedules. BTW, I didnt see any snow.
What I find so odd, is why would the weather be worse in August than December?
To me, they should divide teams into weather zones;\ I.E.
Seattle should get rain 20% until Halloween, then maybe 50% thru Thanksgiving. And a 30% Chance of snow in december.
Oakland and SF should get rain and clouds 30% thru Sept. Then sunny with a 20% of rain throughout rest of season.
San Diego and Arizona get sun 90% of the time all season, with clouds or rain the remaining ten per cent.
Miami, Jacksonville , Tampa Bay, and Carolina get sun 80%, clouds and heavy rain the rest of the season.Aug and Sept is hurricane season BTW.
Denver should be sunny, but quickly getting a 30% of snow around Halloween and after.
Cleveland, Chicago, Green Bay, Buffalo, Should be sunny until Halloween, then cold with more snow (Lake effect) thru rest of season. Cloudy or snowy. 30% chance of sun.
Cincy, Pittsburgh, and Washington... Mild thru Halloween. Cloudy and Cold thru Thanksgiving, then snow clouds and sun equally thru december and January.
New England, New York, Philadelphia... Suns with clouds thru Halloween, 50% of rain in November; Then clouds, snnow, and Sun equally after Thanksgiving.Comment

Re: Jillian Barbarie with the Weather...
I simmed a season with Seattle last night checking every game. There was one rainy game in the preseason and 4 during the regular season (3 of which were at home, including 2 in December). That's 4/13 games in the rain (3 games played in a dome: Dallas, Arizona and STL). A little much but not too bad.
I haven't chosen a team yet but I am considering going with one of the 8 teams that are garanteed 9 dome games per season (ATL, NO, HOU, IND, MIN, DET, ARI and STL).Last edited by mercalnd; 08-31-2011, 08:37 PM.Comment

That pattern doesn't hold for all teams though. See my Seattle test in my previous post.Last night, I simmed thru three seasons, using the Raiders, Browns, and Redskins. And Checked the weather for each home game. Here's what I found.

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
I've played eleven games now into a franchise with the Chiefs and every game that hasn't been indoors has been raining with the exception of one game in San Diego. This is beyond frustrating.Comment

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
Does your 11 games includes all 4 pre-season games, or 11 regular season games? Because for me, towards late October/early November in Cleveland (and my away games too), I only had one rain game when I tested out how the season progressed re: weather. The rest were either sunny and clear or slightly overcast but no rain.Comment

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
I think this is right, but it's still hilariously broken. As you mentioned, and I experience, San Francisco has no issue.... but Oakland does. After PMing Midgeotto (who's doing some cool franchise write-ups in the other thread) and checking out the game myself, I've realized that the rain is tied to the specific team you pick in franchise mode.

They are right across the Bay from each other.

Re: Season Ticket - Every Game Raining?
Can we maybe get a list going of which teams are affected by this "issue."
And man.. does this stink for Cleveland Browns Fans. (as if real life wasnt bad enough, lol... j/k)
Regardless though, why not patch in the option to set weather pre-game in Franchise mode? Just like in Exhibition mode? At least it would make this a non-issue for M12...Comment
