2k12 now has the top Centers of all-time

With classic Shaq in now, 2k12 has arguably the top 5 centers to ever play the game. Kareem, Wilt, Russell, Olajuwon, & Shaq in no particular order. This isnt even including Ewing. Is David Robinson in?

This game is simply ridiculous now. And honestly, it's making me feel angry at every other sports game for not 'bringin it' like 2k12 is. Could you imagine if Madden introduce classic teams like the 80's 49ers or the 93' Cowboys, or the 85 Bears?

NHL 12 is only bringing a fraction of what NBA 2k12 is bring with legendary players. It's not even a comparison right now. NBA 2k12 is kickin *** and takin names.

They may not be on that 'greatest' caliber center level IMO but the other Georgetown guys are also here, Alonzo Mourning and Mt. Mutombo.

Yep right on! Don't forget Willis Reed too. And actually up until 2005 Madden always had ALL the historic teams that played in the Superbowl(winners and losers). Madden had well over 200 teams. The only thing with that was that the players wouldn't have their real names or correct jersey numbers so you would have to manually edit them but the commentators would then call most players by their names once they were edited(which was quite tedious to do but well worth it). Madden games at on time had all-franchise teams(i.e All-time Bears, All-time Niners, etc...), the all-madden teams from every previous year, and the all historic Superbowl teams, and other popular playoff teams. All these teams were a yearly staple too. Each franchise had at least two historic teams and more if they were multiple Superbowl winners or made multiple Superbowl appearances . Oh man it was awesome. I loved me some 85 Bears. However EA sports and Sony ended getting sued by Jim Brown and other former NFL players because some of the players did not get compensated for having their likenesses in the game.

Also I believe that some versions of NFL 2k had historic teams as well but far less than what Madden had.

I do love what NBA 2K is doing with the legends and historic teams and yes NHL has ways to catch up. I would image NHL will have historic teams in upcoming games though. NHL 2k7 had some historic teams.

And add Brad Daugherty (1990 Cavs) to that list. He isn't an all-time great, but he was one of the better centers of the late 80's/early 90's and the best passing big man in the NBA during that time.

Oh and let's not forget we have Bill Walton too (not the prime one on that 77 Blazers though). Still the greatest passing big man the game has seen. Injuries hampered his career, but when he was healthy he was fantastically deadly. He gave defenses every reason to double-team him, but punished them for doing so better than anyone. His selflessness helped the Blazers win their only title.

In no particular order here are the all-time greatest centers that will be in 2k12

                Kareem Abdul-Jabbar/Lew Alcindor
                Wilt Chamberlain
                Bill Russell
                Hakeem Olajuwon
                Shaquille O'Neal
                David Robinson
                Patrick Ewing
                Willis Reed
                Dikembe Mutombo
                Moses Malone
Bill Walton(on the bench for 86 Celtics but way beyond his prime)
                Robert Parish
                Alonzo Mourning
                Brad Daugherty
and from this era but not quite there yet Dwight Howard and he has no real competition anymore, right now.

the only other notable ones really missing are: George Mikan, Wes Unseld, and Bob Lanier.

Is Sabonis in it? If it is, only typical boorish Americans don't think he is one of the best centers of all time.

Too bad Lanier is not in. Would have been great to have the Dobber and Dave Bing from the Pistons.
Was Elvin Hayes a center? I don't believe he's in ether.
Mikan was essentially from a different era of basketball, so his omission is fine.
Overall, though, I can't complain about the few notable omissions since this basically will be a who's who of NBA legends.
I really think this will keep the game fresh for a couple of years, when ordinarily people might get tired of the outdated rosters after one year.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

I'm really excited about how we will have to change our strategy for each era. For example, todays league is dominated by quick guards. This era transitioned from a big mans league led (mostly) by the Spurs. To me, this game will be like a learning experience of the history of the sport and how it has evolved into the game today. First thing I'm doing is spending some time tuning up my post up moves with D12 in practice!
