    Gameinformer review ruins my day

According to their review the BEAGM AI has not been addressed - RFA's will still sit out seasons unsigned, bone-headed trades, etc. How could they not fix this? Another year of turning salary cap off...the improved gameplay will make me buy this game but what a joke.

Though the Be A GM mode needs a major overhaul and the new Legends feature falls flat, NHL 12 is still strongest where it counts – on the ice.

Why buy the game if you're not totally satisfied with it?

Because there isn't a better alternative..

        Something is better than nothing.

$60 is nothing if you compare it to other entertainment costs.

Exactly. Not that this game pisses me off enough to not purchase yet, but the fact that it's your ONLY hockey option kinda ****ing sucks.

Honestly I think I would have skipped it this year but literally the only two reasons I have to update are:

            1- The Jets.
2- Sim to your next shift in BaP.

            That's basically it.

It may be the only option out there, but that doesn't mean EA should be able to waltz through yet another development cycle ignoring the offline gamer.

Why reward them with $60 if you're not happy with the product? It's like giving your dog a treat for crapping on your rug.

Well for me it's like I said, I don't dislike the product enough to by get it just yet (though this BaGM news is ****ing brutal). Also, hockey games are basically the only reason I ever got into this hobby and I haven't had a year without one... I don't care how good the NBA 2k series is, it's not hockey.

So the new sim engine and cpu logic fixed what exactly? Ya know, I've been pretty patient with these guys. I realize they don't get a budget the size of Madden, and need to cater to the casuals as well with modes like HUT and the like. But seriously, how many years do the BeaGM/Dynasty guys have to wait before we get a mode that actually functions properly and realistically?

The effort from EA with NHL's BEAGM mode and FIFA's Manager Mode this gen has been an absolute joke.

I stopped buying FIFA mostly because of this issue, and I really want to do the same with NHL.

Because I can't continue to play NHL 11 now that I've got a taste of 12. I play BEAGM the most but I might just give the other modes more of my time....was really into EAHSL the first year it came out. BEAPRO looks improved even though in the demo, as the 1st line center I didn't see the ice once in OT.

I just find it unbelievable they can't fix an obvious problem.

I skipped over NHL 11 because of EA's refusal to address the issues of the only mode I wish to invest ample time in, and thus will do so again with NHL 12. I can happily beat my current corp of games over again or spend hours on Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 upon their release.

I'm starting to wonder if a "Complete" hockey title will ever hit the market man. All the other sports had one in the past. Basketball has NBA 2k11, MLB had The Show(09/10), Football had NFL 2k5/Madden 05, but Hockey...zilch... I mean we had NHL 2k3 and 2k5 which were solid offerings from 2k but they weren't on that "Complete" package level. Same goes for NHL 09/10, both very good but weren't complete.

***(By "Complete" I mean a game that hits all areas adequately)

Anywho, I'm gonna pass on this years game and stick with NHL 2k10 and borrow this game off my friend if I ever get bored.

Pretty disappointing that these issues are still there.

The one that bothers me the most is...when the AI fails to properly handle it's roster. Seeing an 82 ovr sitting in the AHL, while a 74 is in their NHL lineup. That drives me nuts.

Like I said in a earlier thread...I do my best not to let this kinda stuff ruin the mode for me. But as the yearly releases go by, it is getting tougher and tougher.

If they honestly cannot fix these issues, why not AT LEAST let us have control over every team in the league? I do not really care for this, and would much rather just control one team, but at least we would be able to make things more realistic.
