I agree Gus should be replaced, but as Ive said a billion times....the announcing will always sound terrible until EA compeltely overhauls how they record and deliver the commentary. All the comments are extremely generic, there is no originality, the commentary is always choppy and pieced together....its just completely unacceptable in every way imaginable.

I thought commentary back in Madden 2007 for the PS2 was crappy....but how the hell did it get worse on a more powerful system 5 years later? Thats the question.

They can't replace him if he is still under contract. I think people forget that they are signed to a contract. Not sure how long but still EA can't replace him until his contract is up whenever that may be.

Not only that but Gus is going in and out from stereo to dolby. Then he's yelling for absolutely no reason. One of my offensive linemen got called for a hold so Gus yells, "NUMBER 77!!!!!!....then in a quiet voice "has been called for a hold..." really? With the PS3 and 360, we should be getting better than this. Players being called the wrong names, Gus thinking Michael Vick is a kicker, just a mess.

I would love to have Al back not because I dislike Gus but just it would be authentic presentation. Gus and Cris don't do commentary together in real life and Al and Cris have chemistry in the booth because they call games together every sunday.

I can not stand Al Michaels, but I would still prefer him over Gus. That's the only way I know how to express my dislike for Mr. Johnson. Here's an idea....Summerall '13.

Gus isn't the problem, Summerall wasn't a problem, Madden wasn't a problem, Michaels wasn't a problem. EA Sports is the problem. They have a TERRIBLE sound department. ALL of their games have awful sound.

They need to put their pride in check and ask 2K for some tips.

I agree that EA is the problem, but I don't like Gus on Sundays either. He sounds like he's trying way too hard, and I just don't care for his speech pattern.

I remember 10-15 years ago how Madden/Summerall sounded better than what we have now.

Heck I think a 3 man crew in general would be pretty awesome like if they added Jaws and fixed up the current commentary and had some banter between Jaws and Cris.

I don't think all of EA has bad audio just Madden in terms of commentary. NCAA has good commentary but bad crowd noise. NHL has better commentary and crowd noise. Same goes with fight night. Can't say for FIFA since i have never played it.

See MLB The Show, until SCEA wised up and got rid of Rex Hudler.Unless EA does it right, it'd get annoying quick.

I like Gus, it's just the whole commentary AI is terrible and you can basically tell which year the sound clips were done in because they sound distinctly different
