Just to get a reading here....what are we REALLY expecting from this patch?

I get the feeling most of you, and even myself to a degree, that we're expecting this patch to be NCAA 12.5 and that it will make the game almost perfectly playable.

Fact is, very rarely does that happen for any game. CH2K8 comes to mind as a game that tremendously benefited from a patch, but it's never happened in this NCAA series. Thus, I'm not getting my hopes up.

So far, this game is a wste of $60, and I'm just hoping the patch can make it about half that amount.

I traded in NCAA12 yesterday for Madden, and I couldn't be happier. I know I am going to be a little bit disappointed if the patch comes along and the game is great, because I really do love NCAA, but I have been enjoying the hell out of Madden. With a good slider set this game plays great, I'm finally enjoying football on my PS3.

The biggest upgrade for me over NCAA (PS3), is that all the text isn't blurry or 'zoomed', instead it's crisp and clear, it doesn't hurt my eyes to navigate the game and other things that NCAA was doing. I don't know if it was the game, me, or my TV. But Madden doesn't cause a (literal) headache when navigating menus (especially in NCAA trying to recruit for any fair amount of time). Now for PS3 Madden does have some graphical issues, especially field textures, but aside from that I have been having a blast.

Good luck to all of those that have stuck w/ NCAA and I hope EA can deliver a patch that rescues this game I love, I'll rent it when Madden starts to tire out and I expect great things!

So I just returned home, popped in the game, fully expecting to see the banner saying: There is an update for this game - But, alas, nothing happened. If the patch doesn't come out until next Tuesday, that will be the 13th of September, which means the game will have been out 2 months and 1 day before it's even playable and that is taking a massive leap of faith on my part that the patch... AKA: The Blanket, doesn't screw other stuff up as well.

And where are the EA people at? As others have said, they hype their game to death pre- 12 July and then... as if David Copperfield showed up at Tiburon Studios, they all disappear.

It would go such a long way if one of their people would at least stay in contact, let us know what's going, why it's taking so long and on and on. But a company that cannot stand behind it's own product? What kind of message does that send to the consumers of said product?

This... has been a colossal failure for the NCAA team.

I just tried to replay one of my bowl games in an online dynasty, and I still got the dreaded "Transfer Failed" message.

Same here.

I'm not sure what EA thinks they fixed, but it wasn't this issue.

Maybe its only for new dynasties going forward. I just restarted mine from scratch so we shall see. It would be nice to not have to speculate as to what they "fixed" but I guess asking that a company give at least some explanations as to their "fixes" would be asking too much.

Other than the tendncy issue, I am fine with the way NCAA plays. Yes, it has problems but I have fun with it. And hopefully something is done for all the freezes.

Maybe they are trying the placebo affect. Keep throwing out the notion that the patch is coming out soon and then hope the game will fix itself and we wont ask about it anymore. I honestly dont know what to think but I will sit and wait... and wait... and wait... and well you know, you get the point.

That's my biggest issue as well. They love to hype the game up before release day and than vanish once issues start showing up. They don't have to stay around and chat with us 24/7, but at least pop in and give us some updates on things and address the issues.

My man you speak the truth in every post I have read from you. This is exactly how I feel. I am grateful that I actually enjoy Madden this year because that game is 100% saving me from totally looking the other way from EA football titles.

My biggest issue to is i cant get in the OD cause it keeps failing at creating schedule. So we can;t continue maybe server update fixed that too.

Yea I feel the same way but then I get to the point where Ive waited this long then I might as well wait a little bit longer. I mean I have school and work so at most I get to play one or two days a week. But it is getting kind of ridiculous that college football is going in to the second week of the season and still we have nothing from EA. But I will continue to play and enjoy the game and wait for the patch.

I know NCAA is a great game this year all they have to do is fix the tendencies and the game would change drastically once it is out I could finally use my draft classes for Madden 12

It's not just tendencies they need to fix. The friggin' option offense is broken too.

EA always do that wih all their sports games. They be in the forum prettty deep in the beginning, but then once the bugs and other issues are found, they put the pedal to the medal and get out of here.

This is by far the LONGEST it ever took for them to release a patch.

One thing that always annoy me about this team is they have the ability to release TUNERS, which DON'T require APPROVAL. Something they can make in the morning and upload to their system right then and there.

Everything in this game don't require a patch to fix. Most of this stuff, especially game play AI, progression, etc can be fixed via TUNER.

But for some reason this team and the madden team treat tuners like patches. Makes no sense what so ever.

What is the point of even having tuners if you don't take advantage of it and USE THEM to fix your product ?

See this is why I didn't believe the Cam Weber hype of things are going to be different and better under his watch. Well guess what people, we are under his watch NOW and it is business as usual, nothing changed.

We still waiting on patches.......And still NOT using TUNERS when we should be. 2 months later and not ONE SINGLE TUNER ? SOMETHING THAT DON'T EVEN REQUIRE APPROVAL ?

SMH.....

It is like the old saying goes.......

If you can play online head to head, that is all that matters to EA, stamp of approval, game is done.
