Pass Reaction 0 and how to relates to Realistic QB% and accuarcy

I've been kinda under the table slowly piecing together some passing game sliders that actually render true numbers based on ratings for the starting QB's only

This formula is only calculated based on non-lead passing which i believe is the best way to take advantage of EA's assigned in game ratings for all QB's

I don't have all the starters done yet but for an example I'll use Ton Brady and Drew Brees

Brady's avg accuarcy rating based on Accuarcy, Short, Medium, Long and Throw on the Run is 86.2 between the 5 ratings

Based on the 100 QBA range the Human would utilize the lower end of the scale and the CPU would utilize the higher end of the game to simulate true in game accuarcy

Brady's Human setting would be 13.8 rounded up to 14....Human slider would be set at 14 if you control Tom Brady

CPU Tom Brady setting would be 86 on the slider if you play against New England

Drew Brees avg was 89.8 overall accuarcy rounded up to 90 which translates to 10.2 on the human slider basically 10

The CPU controlled Brees would get a 90 QBA setting

Now here's how the defense would be set up to show you what i'm speaking about in these formulas

Human Pass defense vs Tom Brady
    Pass Reaction-0
    INT-50
    Pass Rush-50

CPU Pass Offense under Tom Brady
    QBA-86
    Pass Block-50
Wr Catch-50.........Do not touch this slider his wr catch ratings will factor into true completion percentages

    Human Offense with Brady
    QBA-14
    Pass Block-50
    Wr Catch-50

CPU Defense vs Human controlled Tom Brady
    Pass Reaction-0
INT-0..................This setting is used as starting point to take out all other variables which may alter completion percentages
    Pass Rush-0
    -------------------------------------
Human Pass Defense vs Drew Brees
    Pass Reaction-0
    INT-50
    Pass Rush-50

    CPU Offense under Brees
    QBA-90
    Pass Block-50
    Wr catch-50

    Human Offense with Brees
    QBA-10
    Pass Block-50
    WR Catch-50

    CPU Defense vs Brees
    Pass Reaction-0
    INT-0
    Pass Rush-0

These are the only sliders you should observe right now as they strictly focus on the passing game to simulate true accuarcy and percentages

Some Pass Defense settings will change as I determine values for them later. But the Reaction slider will always be at 0 on both sides of the ball.

If Brady is a 14, this means a human controlled Tavaris Jackson should be a 1 or 2 setting?

    thanks

I like it a lot.. How so we apply this on a large scale level for all qbs?? I wouldn't mind adjusting for every game so long as there's a somewhat simple method to the madness. I would gladly adjust to obtain real life gameplay . .. How about rushing?

You can take the avg of all QB's and then make that your basic setting for both Human and CPU QBA slider or you can do like i will be doing and just adjust the CPU Slider game by game for the QB you'll be playing

For example Tony Romo in franshise will be set at QBA-14 i will not have to change that slider because he's the only QB i'll be using but the CPU slider will change from game to game as mentioned above.

The WR catch Slider will always be at 50 and it keeps Completion and accuarcy ratings accurate for all QB's

Re: Pass Reaction 0 and how to relates to Realistic QB% and accuarcy

I've tested these settings with most of the QB's listed and it is amazing to see how they react....

Peyton Manning is awesome with these settings

The other key sliders are WR catch and Pass Block they must remain at 50 in order to Simulate to true QB percentages.

Wr Catch slider also effects route running as you'll see some guys totally screw up a route and makes the pass look off target and out of reach by the defender and Wr

I think EA did a damn good job with the game this year capturing realism but the trick is use the Reaction sliders as a starting point and keep as many sliders close to 50 as possible with the accpetion of certain sliders that need to adjust do to the reaction slider going down in pass coverage

This is some very interesting stuff.

So WR catching and pass block should stay at 50...do you still get a good pass rush from the better D-Linemen or on blitz packages?

Likewise, with human pass reaction at 0 and QB Acc for CPU at 92 - what kind of completion % do you see on average? That would seem like it would be super easy to carve you up, no matter what kind of defenders you have (or WR they are covering).

I don't know if I'll switch each time (I feel like there should be some combo of settings that will just let ratings express themselves and between DPP, player ratings and game ebb/flow, things come out), but there's some things in here to think about.

Once i do about 35-40 QB's i'll avg out the CPU Slider based on those top 35 guys and then the Human avg aswell

But believe it or not even at 90 QBA vs Drew Brees i still see him hover around 60-65% if the play calling is good

Very nice, this is amazing stuff.

What kind of gamespeed/threshold do you recommend. I'm using Very Slow and 0 Thresh. There are just a few too many big plays but not a whole lot.

Also I'm testing your theory with the rushing and will post some results.

Don't want to hijack pms thread but want to help so from what I can tell the QBA CPU avg is going to be around 78-80 and around 20-22 for HUM.

                        Hope this helps.

yeah those numbers seem very close but i want to do atleast finish about 35-40 QB's just to make sure and get the right avg.....

In my slider thread for the most I'm using Matt Schaub's avg of 21 for QBA and Manning's avg of 87 for QBA

One guy all reported that Josh Freeman tore him up using Manning's setting i know the real Peyton Manning in this game will be a beast if play Indy and their QBA slider is at 87 and that is how it should be IMO

Of course Josh Freeman is going to probably end up some where in the mid to high 70's for his QBA slider but that's just an example of how this will work if you switch this slider from game to game depending on the QB

That is why at 50 QBA out of the box every single QB including Brees sucks because there is not a single QB in the game rated below 64 accuarcy overall

I think the rushing would take way too long because you have to avg out the Trucking and Elusive ratings of all RB's

I may do something with the top 32 backs in the game but my main focus was on getting the QB's situated

Yea then u hav to worry about injuries/subs if the starter goes down n their ratings will ne huge.. Rushing game seems good with User 0/0/40 CPU 0/30/40 and user rush d at 0/0/15 n CPU rush d 15/15/15 (50/50/15 for challenge)
