Has EA issued a statement on fixing the fake UDFA take over?
Honestly I don't wanna jump through hoops to fix EA screw up with fake UDFAs, so I'm hoping that they at least are aware of the problem and are in the process of patching this. I have contacted Donny Moore via Twitter, but he's been curiously silent. I don't wanna go through franchise mode, only to play in a league of fake players after a couple seasons. Has there been any word at all on fixing this HUGE flaw??Tags: None -

I posted links to a few threads on here on his Twitter, so hopefully he takes a look and passes this on to whoever he needs to. If you guys wanna send him a message on there, please do it in a professional manner so we can get this fixed.Comment

Re: Has EA issued a statement on fixing the fake UDFA take over?
Yeah, I sent a tweet to Josh Looman. 75% of the teams in my franchise have rookies or 2nd year players as backup QBs. ALL of those QBs are 65 OVR and under. Most hover around 55 OVR. Meanwhile, there are plenty of quality back up QBs in the free agency pool.Comment

Re: Has EA issued a statement on fixing the fake UDFA take over?
I counted each teams Fake UDFAs and it came out to 180, this is after the final cuts. That averages out to 5 or 6 UDFAs for each team. that is without the Bears having any because i'm doing a 1 team franchise and I released all the fakes. I noticed one UDFA with a 70 OVR.... COME ON MAN!Comment

5 undrafted free agents made the Bears 53 in real life this year... but I agree it's going a little overboard.
I've had good luck with just going through and changing all the UDFA QB's to punters on the CPU controlled teams. A little more work but a viable workaround for now.Chicago BearsComment

Re: Has EA issued a statement on fixing the fake UDFA take over?
We shouldn't but for myself I love this years game and think it may be the best ever in the series. So using this work around works well and in reality takes less than 30 minutes to employ. And you don't need 32 team control to do it.
Old school approach. We had no patches and tuners most of our sports gaming life so we looked for ways to overcome bugs as all sports games have them. This will probably be tuned or patched as the logic is wonky at times. It is not as bad though as some may seem. And if it is not tuned or patched the workaround works very well.
Franchise mode is very playable and quite good this year. Now Playing on PS5:

MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1

I understand where you're coming from. But times have changed, technology has advanced, and better resources to deliver a better game than this year's is possible...and was expected. The franchise mode is always a big deal, people have wanted and asked Madden dev's to focus on that. Also, offline franchise - importing and exporting draft classes are important. It's the reason why a lot of people buy both games, to have that realistic satisfaction, not work around it.We shouldn't but for myself I love this years game and think it may be the best ever in the series. Agreed with everything you said.
But EA should at least acknowledge that the issue exists. They've been deleting threads on their forums and ignoring people who ask about the issue on twitter, and that's not right. It's as if they're trying to sweep it under the rug.
I like the improvements to franchise mode this year (it's why I bought it), but I also want it to be as free from issues as possible.
When NCAA12 got the 2nd patch and it caused everyone's no-huddle to glitch, EA Sports had a guy here responding to people, saying they're aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.
Why can't we have the same level of interaction regarding this issue? A simple, "We're aware of this issue and are working to fix it" would make a big difference.Comment

Well, someone earlier asked Josh on Twitter and he said it's not a bug. So, how is that not answering someone's question on Twitter?Agreed with everything you said.

There's a thread in the Entertainment section where a former developer from EA chimes in and he said they always have less time to rush the game out and less money to do it to make it under budget and terrible back of the box features from the higher ups.
Not as cut and dried as it appears.Comment
