To those wondering, my game is installed to my HDD. Has been from the first time I put it in my 360. I never play a game without installing it to my HDD first. So there is a very slim chance that it has any scratches at all on it. NCAA 12 is the only game that has frozen on me in a very very long time. And half of the freezes came yesterday after downloading the patch and they were all in the 4th quarter.

All my freezes pre patch were before half time or during the loading screen going into a dynasty game(all online dynasties BTW). I'm hoping it was just a fluke yesterday because I really don't want my game to start freezing all of the time now after the patch finally fixed gameplay, but I wouldn't be surprised.

And to the guy saying to not use custom playbooks, I literally shook my head while reading your post. Custom playbooks was probably the feature I was looking forward to the most this year. I love running an up-tempo(no huddle) offense all game with many read options of of the shotgun and pistol, but I can't do that this year because the no huddle is screwed up and so are the custom playbooks. Pre-patch my plays never showed up and my CPB was worthless, post patch my plays show up, along with 10 other formations I don't want and the no huddle doesn't work, making the scheme I want to use impossible to do.

Hopefully a third patch does come out and fix the issues we're seeing now and does not bring any others with it, but I am certainly not holding my breath.

Everyone complaining about custom playbooks.. Just run the plays those teams run !!!! What is your problem you are NOT Bill Walsh or Bill Belichick. YOUR NOBODY.. Respect COACHES who ARE SOMEBODY. AND the dude before got it right... COPY your game to your HDD. Make space for it or by a new one. This game has always made some xbox s freeze and others perform alright. (it depends on hardware issues and when your x box was made how many system updates... Some of them have issues with ea sports games I have 3 ... 360s only one will play this game properly. BUT most of your freezes are due to the EA servers.. and like I stated the basic in ability for a 2005 xbox 360 to operate the way these new games are made is not really even the same platform anymore. People blame EA when they dont realize XBOX s always freeze they have major hardware issues .. the reason mine does not is all that **** has been dealt with .

Well, the patch DID NOT fix the in-game freezing issues at all! Just had a freeze in a play now game. 3rd and Goal, ND goes to throw a slant in the endzone, I'm BC, my DB bats the ball down and the game freezes while in the animation. Screen goes dim. I've had most of my freezes in the 3rd quarter. Thanks for nothing.

What a joke. I would sell this game if I could get anything for it. The only unfortunate side of everyone knowing that this game is hot garbage is that it has no resell value now. #NCAA12FAIL

I've had my xbox since its release and never had one freezing problem, FYI.

I was a little peeved at first about the custom playbook thing but really when I step back and look at it there are some pretty decent playbooks in the game. There are over 100 playbooks to choose from. plus the playbook I made was that of a cheeser anyways.

game works great now, no real issues to speak of other than the previously reported no huddle issue and the special teams quick call not defaulting to the correct formation ie punt or FG.

the issue i have is that in the online dynasty, practice mode freezes everytime. i cleared the system cache and still freezes. this is not a deal breaker for me as i do not use it very often. just felt like it needs to be reported.

anyone else having this problem?

Tried 4 times yesterday to play a week 1 user vs user game on the PS3 in our online dynasty. All 4 times the game froze. We could still talk to each other, we could still access the Playstion XMB, we could still hear the crowd the game was just frozen as we broke the huddle.

This is beyond absurd. Two months for this patch, and they did not even fix the freezing issue... and end up breaking something else with it. Did at some point EA completely layoff their game testers? How else can they explain it?

Tendencies are not fixed for me, the game never froze for me before now it freezes constantly, no huddle is broken, special teams quick plays broken. I'm not one to complain but I have finally broken down. I'm on the verge of pooping my pants.

Im crossing my fingers here, but I have played several games thus far post patch, and I did re-create my custom playbook. I do not run no-huddle. My custom playbook is fine, I did reorder all my plays in each formation, and I dont have troubles calling audibles either.
As far as freezes go, I haven't had any since post-patch. I did run into a few pre-patch usually during panning the crowds at the end of games.

Seems the post-patch has been good so far, Im loving the return game now on special teams. I just returned a punt for 36yards, I thought I was in heaven! Just my thoughts so far...
